"Our room was clean and ready on time. There were extra pillows as we requested and the staff were very friendly, quick and efficient when asked questions and when we asked for extra towels. Parking was plentiful, the bed was VERY comfortable, and plenty of space in the bathroom. The complimentary continental breakfast was plentiful, warm, tasty, and the juice options and coffee, both excellent. Check in and check out equally quick. GREAT value for the price."

The house and property and gorgeous, the breakfast is big and delicious, and the programs that they run are great. I attended a Reiki circle that I found very helpful and relaxing. The shiatsu massage chairs are also excellent. I would return and I will recommend Rising Star!"

"Everything was good, but because of an outage by Rogers, there wasn't any TV to watch. I realize it was beyond the control of the hotel, but I asked for a discount in place of the problem with the TV and they reduced my bill by 10% I was satisfied with the trade off. I really liked the availability of fresh coffee in the lobby available at any time."

"I booked this hotel with breakfast for out of town grieving guests with breakfast included hoping to make their stay easier. They were told at checkin that it was not included. Subsequently after some stress at a time we didn’t need it, plus conversations the staff realized their error but by then it was already upsetting for me and my guests. Just one more thing we didn’t need for a $300+ hotel night in Oshawa. Do better with the next folks."
