"The property is beautiful. Rooms are tastefully decorated. Bed and pillows were comfortable. The hotel is only 10 minutes from the center but be careful because the road is very narrow. It’s extremely challenging if you encounter another vehicle from the opposite direction. The amenities are lacking. Food and snack options are extremely limited and that’s a problem when the hotel has nothing near by you can walk to. They offer no snacks no lunch options. "Property has potential to be a luxurious hotel- beautiful oceanfront property but seems money isn’t put back into it. Pictures are not accurate- especially of bathroom. "NO HOT WATER THE ENTIRE STAY, despite every day complaining and every day told that it was fixed, but it wasnt!!! The bar was shut, the reception was closed, the rooms flooded from the rain, the buffet was not open because there were not enough people staying in the hotel. I understand it was the first day of the season we arrived, but we overpaid for what we received. "

"We were fortunate to get the only room on the highest level with a great view of the ocean and coastline. The price we had to pay was to climb two flights of stairs to reach it, which we did mind at all. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful and advised us to drive to Areopoli for dinner. Very good breakfast."

"5 stars! The Elea Mare is a fabulous value in an authentic Greek coastal village, run by a host (Greg) who personifies customer care. We can’t praise him enough for the warmth of his interactions with us! As an example, our young-adult daughter became mildly sick during our stay, and Greg provided tea and offered to check up on her when we left her in the hotel by herself for half a day.
