Loved this hotel, right opposite the train station. The staff were friendly and polite. The room was clean and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was amazing.

Het hotel is super met een art deco interieur. Parkeren gratis van 19:00 tot 09:00 u. Enkel het nachtleven in de buurt was nogal luidruchtig. Het hotel ligt rechtover het station.

Très décevant

Arrivés dans notre chambre, lit de 140 datant d'une autre époque très inconfortable. Salle de bain ménage à revoir etat de propreté laissant à désirer (traces noires , poils dans le bac de douche, porte de douche cassée). Et enfin la cuvette des toilettes je pense qu'un bon détartrage s'impose. Et enfin heureusement que ce n'était que pour 1 nuit.

Ideal for cycling tourism (Paris-Roubaix)

A very special hotel with a good location by the train station. Very quiet city and not ideal as a tourist as many restaurants are closed on Sundays.

Sejour raté et peu reposant.

Hotel choisi notemment pour les mentions "grand lit" et "systeme dinsonorisation". Le grand lit est en fait un lit double avec un surmatelas. L'écart entre les 2 lits augmentait pendant la nuit au point de devoir descendre des lits pour les rapprocher. Concernant le système d'insonorisation, il est inexistant. Nous entendions les discussions de voisins ainsi que les ébats de voisins comme si ils étaient dans notre chambre. J'apprecierais donc une indemnisation pour La baignoire était sale (rideaux tachés, joints noircis...). (Le bouton "ajoutez une photo" ne fonctionne pas mais j'ai des photos.)

Rétro et confortable

Malgré l'age avancé de l'hôtel et l'ameublement plutôt vieillot, bel hôtel propre, bonne literie, très grande tv dans la chambre, bon petit déjeuner dans une grande et jolie salle, ce qui est le plus important. Petit plus : l'emplacement face à la gare et proximité du centre-ville. à pied. Nous avons aussi apprécié la possibilité de garder la chambre jusqu'à midi. Bon séjour dans cet établissement.

Bekvämt,trevligt, liv på gatan utanför på natten

Bekvämt och rent. Ok frukost, saknade grönsaker i buffén. Det som drar ner är att mitt rum hade fönster mot en gata där det var väldigt mycket liv på natten. Fönstrens var inte jättebra ljudisolerade

Ok til overnatning på vejen.

Gammelt hotel. Der var nusset alle vegne, slidte gulvtæpper, bruseren duede ikke, badekaret/spaen var knækket i plastikken og dysserne var så beskidte, at vi ikke ønskede at bruge spa/badekarsfunktionen. Der var kun lagt håndklæder frem til 1 person, selvom vi var tre tilknyttede til værelset, toilettet var løst. Morgenmaden var kedelig. Servicen var god, de var søde og hjælpsomme og hjalp når vi har udfordringer med værelserne.

Service var tilfredsstillende. Værelse var rent, bortset fra toilettet - der var myrer på gulvet. På værelset var der en aircondition, men når man tændte for den, gav loftet sig og virkede nærmest til at falde ned. Så vi måtte slukke hurtigt for den, i skræk for at det faldt sammen. Samtidig var værelserne meget lytte, så man kunne hører ALT, og alt hvad der foregik på gaden. Ikke den bedste søvn man kunne få

Belle surprise

Très bien situé, en face de la gare, l'hôtel surprend agréablement par sa propreté. Bien équipé, bien isolé des bruits extérieurs, pourvu d'une bonne literie, il propose un petit déjeuner simplifié (café/croissant) à 3,50€ en alternative au petit déjeuner buffet très bien garni, mais plus cher.

Hôtel moyen.

Hôtel qui a certainement eu son heure de gloire mais qui a aujourd’hui perdu de sa superbe. L’emplacement : bien que idéalement situé face a la gare, l’hôtel n’est malheureusement pas dans le quartier le plus calme de Valenciennes. Pensez à refermer tous les soirs le double vitrage que la femme de chambre réouvre tous les matins pour aérer. La chambre : literie très confortable, grand écran de TV mais malheureusement aucune prise électrique à la tête du lit … pas très pratique en 2024 quand tout le monde branche son portable sur la table de chevet… La salle de bain : inondation garantie avec une petite baignoire sans aucune parois ni rideau de douche. Attention à la glissade en sortant. Personnel agréable. Pas testé le petit déjeuner. Malheureusement je choisirai un autre hôtel quand je reviendrai à Valenciennes.

For the price the room and facilities were great. The room was large with an adjoining bathroom which had a separate toilet. The bathroom was huge with a double sink. The art deco theme runs through the hotel and it is very beautiful in the bar restaurant area. Food must be good as it appeared to be all locals eating there. Bar very good value for money and the free too up of wine very welcome. Very friendly staff. Close to the train station, ample parking on the side streets adjacent to the hotel. Downsides: I’m a wheelchair user, the ramp was at such an acute angle that it was too dangerous. So I had to get help to get up the few steps. The lift is extremely small and barely fit my wheelchair in, I had to pull up the foot rests and mine is a travel electric chair so it’s compact. So if you’re a wheelchair user I would not recommend this hotel. There was food in the mini fridge that was half eaten. The noise aspect was not the other hotel guests it was people who had left local clubs and decided to stand in the street screaming & shouting from 1am to 4am … we could not sleep but not the fault of the hotel staff. So if you need quiet then this may not be the place for you. The very bizarre carpet in the hallways was very strange and really does cause your eyes to deceive you, I dare anyone to attempt to navigate a straight line on it.
