We reserved and paid for a room. When they failed to send us a key code, I called and was told it was not needed. That someone would be at the front desk. We arrived at 7 pm to a dark and deserted building that required a key code to enter. Called again and, during 20 minutes on the phone - in the dark and in the rain - was repeatedly told the code was coming any moment. After 20 minutes I told them thank you but no thank you and we moved on to a hotel on the highway. At the hotel, I contacted Expedia and asked for a refund. That took about an hour. I was notified two days later that the refund was granted.

I always stay where I visiting family in a neighboring city. It's in downtown Valdosta. Super quaint and convenient. The restoration is really nice. I like the antiquetious feel. You should give it a try. I do warn you that the property sits on a major highway. But it's a highway thru a small-town-downtown square.

Well cared for rooms. Units on on the 3rd and 4th floor and they have an elevator. There is a coffee bar on each floor. Coffee shop and resturant are also available in the same building on 1st floor.

First I’ll talk about the pros. In Valdosta, this is considered elevated….I’ll take it. The decor was cute, but the fixtures were cheap. Simple fixes like, a toilet paper dispenser that worked, more room to put your shower necessities, and somewhere to unload your suit case would be nice. There was a room attached to the bathroom that would be perfect for lockers…since we were in the Law & Order room! Okay, Cons. First off, the code didn’t work to get in the room. After going back and forth with the receptionist on the PHONE, she was finally able to help me get in the door. We had reservations at the restaurant downstairs and we were late because we had to shower after traveling all day. The restaurant had a good aesthetic, but the prices didn’t match up To the quality of food and service. We were their latest reservation, but were rushed instantly. The food was salty, the drinks were basic, and the only thing that was good was our server. Lastly, we are tv people. We like to go to sleep with a timer. We had to move the tv to the bedroom. Some people might like that, but it isn’t something we’re into. Would I stay there again, probably. Would I eat at Oak + Olive again…if my reservation was at 7:00pm and I lowered my expectations.

Didn't know I was to get an email with the code to enter the building and my room. I left early that day and did not check my emails. I should have been given notice a day or two before. I couldn't't find glasses to drink from. No desk in room was also problematic.

I came to Valdosta for 1night. This was our 1st time staying at the Mckey's. We stayed in the Grand Tour room. It was very spacious. The bed was so comfortable. The bathroom was very nice. I loved the tub with the shower. It tub was a little high too get in without hitting my toe to get in, but overall I liked it. It has a nice area to eat. They had a cofee station right outside our room in the hallway along with toiletries they you may have forget to pack. They also had a reaturant/ lounge down stairs if you wanted to crab something to eat or a drink. It also have restaurants near by. It can't get s little noisy with the cars and sirens passing by, other than that it's a great place to stay.
