Fine guesthouse located between Jaffna old city and Keerimalai temple and sacred water pool. Nice and quiet location, excellent laundry service.

The wifi went down every evening. The breakfast is Sri Lankan vegetarian. I’m completely flummoxed why previous reviewers say the location is good. They seem to believe that its location between the city and the beach is an advantage. It is near nothing. I had to walk a minimum of 30 minutes to find a restaurant or a grocery store. As a result you have to drive to get anything.

Pleasant and highly comfortable stay

We had bioked with breakfast for the whole stay. It’s very tasty and different dishes on every morning. Mr. Ravi is the Chef and he was asking us what we like to have a breakfast and he prepared the dishes. I strongly recommend this hotel in Maruthanarmadam, Jaffna

Fantastic stay in Maruthanar madam.

A pleasant location with good environment. Bathroom is very clean. Comfortable room. Delicious breakfast with a tasty hot coffee and hot tea. All the staff are kind, smiling face and so helpful to fulfill our requirements such as ironing the dresses, arranging hiring vehicles.

A real gem- highly recommended place to stay!

When we arrived at this beautiful guest house, Ravi (our host) was not expecting us! He had not received confirmation of our visit via hotels.com. Unfortunately, we were beginning to see enough from our experience with hotels.com to realise we will not be using it in the future. Regardless to say, like the true professional he is, he told us to relax in the lounge while our room was quickly prepared. Luckily, he was able to still get us our room as it was not a busy time. Ravi was truly a gem. He was very accommodating, professional and we had some great conversation with him. Accommodation for our driver along with breakfast was also provided free by him which was amazing. The room we stayed in was wonderful. Clean, great AC, organised and had everything to meet our needs. The bathroom was separate to our room but it was actually a very nice bathroom and there was a door that blocked off our bathroom door and room door from the rest of the guesthouse (so that we had privacy). The breakfast in the morning was also great. It was a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast and was delicious. We enjoyed our stay overall and feel that Ravi is the real cherry on the cake for this property. We were so happy staying here and will definitely be coming back here when we visit Jaffna in the future.
