"We only spent one night, but loved the tranquility of the Safari Lodge. We were the late October, so there were very few guests (and it was quite inexpensive). The room was great, the garden surroundings so peaceful, and the breakfast was lovely. We had dinner at Garlic, the restaurant next door. Great place!"

"The welcome at the Sihilro Regency is second to none. We felt almost like family. The home cooked food offered is really fantastic, exceeding the standard in most of the hotels we stayed in. Arriving over the new year weekend, we were slightly concerned that onward travel would be difficult but they helped us find a taxi at a very reasonable price. We also used their in house Safari and the driver / guide was brilliant. Highly recommended."

The buffet food was okay, sandwiches were the best choice from the menu options. Safari was great, no need for a guide as our driver pointed out lots of things. Would recommend."

"Rating is based on the fact it is a camp. The staff is great, really friendly and take good care of you. They helped with anything we needed. It is a bit hard to find, but they met us on the road and brought us to the camp site. The location is well kept. Since it is a camp, there are bugs, there are reptiles, but the staff do their best to keep them out of your way. The breakfast was great and very peaceful."

"I can’t recommend this place enough! Great communication with Eric all the way through, we came a bit late, and before we could order our meals over email and it was ready. Great WiFi! "Unfortunately I am not able to review Dil Lanka Safari Resort, because when we arrived, the manager was very surprised to see us and said that he had no booking from us (three people, two rooms). Ultimately it was resolved (with help from our Sri Lankan driver) and we were given our money back (booking was prepaid). The grounds looked nice, so you could take your chances, but make sure you do nót prepay your reservation."

"This could be something so special. The location itself is amazing and the accommodation for ‘camping’ is incredible. The service wasn’t great however. As kind as everyone was the timings were very off. Being told we needed to be ready for breakfast at 8 and not being served till 9.30. The same for dinner. We also told them we needed to leave on the final day at 7.30 so wanted breakfast at 7. We arrived at the breakfast tent at 7 and no one was there. Unfortunately it was the same for the bush walks and the other activities. We request to do the 16km walk they advertised in their welcome message and on their website and they told us it wasn’t possible. We were told there would be a bush walk at 9 and we didn’t leave till 12 which was fine for us but for an 84 year old guest in the group it probably wasn’t the best time of day to go walking and all the animals would have been hiding from the sun. Such a shame as your rely so heavily on the hotel team given you are in the middle of no where "
