We really had a great time at Dana's Place. Erek, the owner did a fantastic job of making our stay very comfortable. From suggesting places, to visit to arranging cars for transportation for the day, he was very proactive and helpful. The place is also very private and exclusive with a private pool, two bedrooms with spa like bathrooms. It had a fully equipped kitchen also. He also provides breakfast every morning to order (even accomodating orders as early as the same morning) Would highly recommend Dana's place every time.

My family had a fantastic stay here. The place itself is wonderful, set in a beautiful traditional Balinese family complex, and the villa area is spacious, quiet and private. The kids loved the pool and really appreciated the supplied floaty toys. The photos represent the property we'll, everything is comfortable and overall it's a very relaxing and enjoyable environment to spend time in. The location is also great, the Penestanan area is nice and a bit more chilled out than central Ubud, but it's still an easy walk to get there (there seems to be a myth that you can't walk anywhere in Bali because of the traffic, but we walked around with our kids and it was fine ... you have to be careful but the dreaded scooters are generally very considerate of pedestrians).. Erek and his family were very welcoming and helpful, and were genuinely committed to making sure that we had a good stay. We'll definitely return if we're lucky enough to return to this area for another visit!

I had a wonderful stay at Erek’s villa. They keep the villa very clean and well maintained. The pool and garden area are gorgeous, spacious and offer complete privacy. The Wi-Fi worked well for working online. I loved the location, very quiet and charming, yet with plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance, but only a 5-10min taxi to city center. Lovely art gallery just next door. The best part was the how helpful and hospitable Erek and his family were. Very quick to respond and everything I asked for was brought to the villa right away. They live next door, so are always there to help. The highlight of my trip was Erek bringing me to the temple and local celebration for the Galungan holiday. It was such a beautiful experience. They went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and share their culture with me. Highly recommend their villa and look forward to staying again.

Very relaxing stay around 30 minutes walk from the centre of Ubud. clean and comfortable property with very friendly host located in family compound. Reasonably quiet area, but still enough places to get food and drinks within easy walking distance.

Superb customer service in and out of the villa.

We had a really good couple of days in Ubud, thanks to Erek's (and company) extended customer service... in and out of their nice and clean villa. They offer motorbike rentals and airport pick-up with a really nice driver too. You dont have to worry about pre-booking tours as they can also give you tips and recommend vans and driver who will tour you around at affordable rates.

Beautiful place bad communication.

The property looks just like the picture which is awesome! Pretty easy to go out and walking distance to a beautiful yoga place. However, the shower head for both rooms are not in a good functioning condition, half of the jet is stuck and just drip water, makes the shower pretty cold. The description said breakfast is included but it is not. I had to pay for it and I only find out when I already had my breakfast which was a very bad experience, i probably would have picked a different location because of that since it is not in town center. At this time when I write the review, I did not get a refund for the breakfast that I didn’t know I have to pay for even though I was told that it would be included. There is daily room service which was nice. Hand soap has been ran out since I arrived but cleaner never checked. But I brought my own.

발리여행의 마지막 밤을 다나스 플레이스에서 보냈어요. 오픈한지 얼마되지 않아 후기가 많이 없어 걱정이 앞섰지만 제 선택은 옳았습니다. 침실, 정원, 심지어 화장실까지 모든 공간이 아름다웠어요. 수영장 베드에 누워 보던 밤하늘이 아직도 아른거리네요 ^^ 위치는 우붓 시내와 조금 멀지만 룸에서 배달음식도 시켜먹을 수 있고, 냉장고에 맥주도 준비되어 있어요. 숙소가 너무 좋아서 계속 빌라에만 있었어요^^ 다음에 발리에 간다면 다시 방문해서 오래 머물고 싶어요!

Awesome hidden gem, right next to center of Ubud

We loved our stay at Dana's Place and will definitely be back there if we make our way back to Bali. It was such a lovely room and space with the private sitting room, pool, and kitchen and our hosts Erek and Kadek were so gracious, helpful, and kind. We actually really liked being in the Penestanan area instead of in the center of Ubud, as it felt a bit more peaceful while still allowing us to be very close to Ubud.

We had a relaxed, pleasant, downhome stay there. It’s for those who love laidback and local feeling. The service is that of Bali, everyday they clean and make your bed. You’ll feel to be attended without awkwardness. Highly recommendable if you know what you want. Viva Ubud!

lovely villa

Stayed for 3 nights at Dana's private villa,great spot in an artist's enclave,secluded and private with a fantastic pool, will say photo's are accurate. Villa consists of two private rooms with there own private bathrooms(outdoor) hot water was not a problem and everything was clean and tidy. though not in the centre of Ubud easily accessed by walking,great little dining options around ,must try paddy's point warung great food. the villa had kitchen facilities if you wanted to cook and the owner was easily accessible through his younger brother Kadek. Kadek will visit you twice a day once for breakfast(which i didn't use) and once in the evening to pack up the pool chairs. Wifi was strong never dropped out all in all a great stay would recommend a visit.
