little gem on beautiful Tulagi Island

This place is a really great spot on Tulagi Island. It has great rooms with comfy beds. The food is good and there is plenty of it. Lots of things to do on and around the island, the scuba diving is amazing with lots of WW2 wrecks. Its a short boat ride from Honiara, but feels like you have gone so much further as you leave the hassel and busy streets of the city.

I had a wonderful stay at Raiders for 4 nights in Oct 2019 The facilities were perfect for my stay which included scuba diving,snorkling and just relaxing at the hotel The staff were very friendly and professional Bob went out of his way to make the diving AMAZING and varied It was so good being on site instead of travelling from Honiara each day I would thorough recommend raiders to any one Brian

Owners were great, the staff was good to us. They treated us like we were their only guests (most of the time we were). Very accommodating with our scuba diving needs and help with setting up a land tour of WWII historical sites. They facilitated our transportation to and from Honaria. Bob and Eva were great hosts very pleasant to be around. Go see them if you can.

Super tauchen, tolles team

Super Team vor Ort. Unbedingt den Boot-Transfer vom Hotel nehmen und nicht die kleinen lokalen Boote... einfach sicherer und problemloser... Einziger Wermutstropfen ist das teure wlan des lokalen Tesco Provider. Und 4 g gibt es auf der Insel noch nicht, maximal Edge..

Great Dive Resort

After 5 days in grubby Honiara it was refreshing to finally reach Raiders. Warmly welcomed by Bob and Yvie, we were subsequently made to feel very comfortable during our stay. The rooms are small but easily adequate, very clean and kept that way daily. The menu was simple with 2 choices each for lunch and dinner but the food was fresh and portions were decent size. We were never left hungry. Our afternoons and evenings were spent with a beer and wine overlooking the bay from Raiders deck. Bob was a font of knowledge on the history of the area both above and below the water. He was an excellent dive guide with a safety first attitude and we were treated to some amazing dive sites which we wont soon forget. For most of our stay we were the only guests at Raiders and it was a real treat to hear both Bob & Yvies stories. Cant thank them enough for their openness & generosity and a wonderful stay at Raiders. We certainly hope to return again in the future.

Bob and Eve are excellent hosts who make your stay the best experience ever! They go out of their way to accommodate anything you need..not to mention the most amazing diving and snorkeling trips.

Peaceful and culturally rewarding

Solomon Islands . Wanted a peaceful place to scuba dive and yet be in a village to experience the culture . It was also a wonderful place only an hour boat ride from Honiari .

Hotel Raiders Tulagi

Fantastic Place. Bob & Evie are wonderful hosts, the atmosphere, the food and the service are topnotch, bob even helped me with my trip and gave me good tipps.

Must stay place on a trip to the Solomon Islands

I almost never write a review but for Raiders Hotel on Tulagi Island I am compelled to. First of all the basics. The bed is very comfortable. The room is clean. There is hot water from solar energy. It is quiet and quaint. There is a hammock. The food is great. They have Wi-Fi access with a paid card but I did not use theirs so I can't comment on how good it is. Instead I have a "Our Telekom" SIM card with a data plan and cell service was very strong so I had great Internet access while there. They have a great dive operation with excellent dive gear. Bob is the Dive Master and is also the owner of the hotel along with his wife Yvie. What compels me to write a review though is the owners Bob and Yvie. They are very friendly and great hosts. The place is a hotel but it feels like a B & B due to their kind hospitality. There is nothing that I wanted for at Raiders that they did not provide. I much preferred my 3-night stay at Raiders for diving and seeing WW2 relics and places of interest than staying in Honiara. I can't recommend Raiders Hotel and dive operation too highly. Have a great trip.
