I booked and fully prepaid for 2 rooms at MarCant B.V. in the Netherlands through Expedia well in advance. When we arrived at the property, the front desk told us they were completely fully booked and refused to check us in or offer any solution. When I contacted Expedia support, they claimed it was "subject to the hotel," completely ignoring the fact that my financial transaction was directly with Expedia, not the hotel. Here is the current situation: The Hotel (MarCant B.V.): Completely ignoring all calls and emails from both myself and Expedia support. Expedia: Still "checking" after days of silence, and now demanding that I provide proof of payment for a reservation that already shows as confirmed and paid inside my own Expedia account. It is unacceptable that a major platform can process your money immediately, fail to honor the reservation, pass the blame to a ghosting vendor, and then make you jump through administrative hoops just to get your refund. Has anyone dealt with Expedia support dragging their feet like this? What is the fastest way to escalate this or trigger a dispute/chargeback with the bank?

hell on earth experiance

stay was worst experience ever.up to 4am was noisy .a women who apparntly stays their was fighting with partner till morning. no mosquito net on windows and couldnt sleep all night.their is no management in premises.women was breaking windows and nobody seems to care.if you are looking for hell experiance on your holiday .try this hotel .

Toen we aankwamen rond 23.00 uur en wilden inchecken- bleek er geen kamer voor ons te zijn- ook al hadden we al betaald. We kregen een drankje en men probeerde het op te lossen- maar de kamers waren niet schoon en dus kregen we ons geld terug met de boodschap om maar iets anders te gaan zoeken om 23.00+; super teleurstellend. T lijkt ons wijs als je geen kamers meer hebt die ook van Expedia af te halen!

Kamer was ruim! Wat onprettig was, was dat ik niet in kon checken en buiten een uur heb gewacht tot er iemand kwam, gebeld, maar de telefoon werd niet opgenomen. Verder prima hotel.

Rampzalige slapeloze nacht

Wat een vreselijke ervaring. Is een oud hotel met beneden een soort van discotheek/bar. Keiharde muziek tot 03:30 Als dat dan eindelijk over is wordt er een nogal harde discussie gevoerd wie er wel en niet in het hotel mag blijven slapen. Ik doe zo n 150 overnachtingen per jaar en het is niet altijd perfect natuurlijk maar dit was gewoon respectloos naar je hotelgasten toe.

Ik kwam zoals gecommuniceerd om 15.00 uur aan. Geen mens te bekennen. Bij toeval kwam een jongen aan die kon open en mij de kamer sleutel kon geven. Daarna heb tot en met het vertrek niemand meer gezien. Dus ook niets te drinken en geen ontbijt. De hele nacht was er muziek te horen. Niet luid maar wel storend.
