"Loved that the inn is a piece of history with most of its original interior historical details from that period. The lobby and sitting area were very inviting, but the breakfast room was very plain and utilitarian. We stayed in the Standard King room on the second floor, overlooking the pool area. The room was clean and simple. It had a small refrigerator, coffee maker, but no microwave. The bathroom counter space was on the small size, but adequate, and located outside the toilet and bathtub area, which I appreciated. The toiletries provided were of higher quality. The room did not come with blackout curtains, just regular ones, so the lighting from the pool area shone into the bedroom at night. There was no air conditioning, due to the hotel's historic architecture, but we were able to open our windows to get fresh air, Breakfast consisted of hardboiled eggs, yogurt, cereal/oatmeal pkgs, pastries and some fruit. The coffee was good. The Wyndham Corp. should invest a little more money into this property to keep up the shine on such a beautiful piece of history. Small parking lot on site and second lot was across the road to the back of the inn, Both had a fence around them, but I don't think the gates are closed at night."

"Nice clean hotel with gated entrance. The lady at check in was very friendly and made you feel welcome. Our room was clean, convenient and bed was comfy. I went offsite to do laundry (it was available at hotel but someone else was using it) and I noticed there seem to be several homeless in the area. I felt very safe at this hotel knowing the gates were an extra layer of security against break-ins."
