"The Shaanta is a wonderful little boutique hotel on the very quiet island of Koh Kood. The restaurant is excellent, and I don't think that there is a better place to eat on the island. Having said that, by the fourth night I pretty much had the menu memorized. There is not much of a beach and very little that is in walking distance. This is definitely the type of place to come if you just want to sit back and relax. I found the rooms to be a little bit small and cramped. If you are coming I would limit your stay to a couple of days and then head of the much larger and more interesting Koh Chang."

"This is wonderfully well-managed property. From the moment I checked in until checkout, the staff were incredibly kind, thoughtful,and helpful. It is evident that this chain does an excellent job in training staff to meet the needs of its clientele. The room was very comfortable with everything in great working order. The facilities were excellent and the vibe was very relaxed. There is tonnes to do on Koh Chang, and the hotel was very helpful in getting me a rental car at a very good rate. I would highly recommend the Dinso as a great place to stay and excellent value for the money. As a side note, the food and service in the restaurant each day was nothing short of excellent."

"The resort really impressed us. Check in was fast and had a welcome drink. The room was large, had great internet connection, was clean and had a good shower. The lighting in the bathroom was too dark for shaving though and needs to be brighter. The breakfast buffet was excellent. They had a station set up to make egg dishes. They had many pastries and fresh fruit. We visited 2 pools that were clean and enjoyable. The beach by the resort is one of the best in Thailand. A 7-11 is near the resort also. On a morning walk at 9am, I saw only 3 people. They had a good fire show at 8pm on Friday night. The Beach restaurant at the resort was great. We ate dinner there 3 times and the dishes were good. I ate a squid dish with salted eat. The check out was fast and easy. I called the front desk, and they arrived with a cart to move the bags to the front. I recommend this resort and would return."

"This was my first time staying at Siam Beach Resort, and the journey there became part of the experience. After a short flight from Bangkok to Trat, I arrived at one of the most charming and quaint small airports I have seen in Thailand. Trat Airport has a relaxed, welcoming feel that immediately sets the tone for island travel. From the airport, I took private transportation for the roughly 45-minute drive to the ferry landing. The road journey was sensational — smooth, well maintained, and passing through what felt like one of Thailand’s beautiful garden baskets, with lovely farms, Thai produce, lush trees, scattered residences, and a landscape that seemed set back in time. By the time I reached the ferry, I could already feel life slowing down. Siam Beach Resort continued that feeling. The resort has a simple, easygoing charm that fits Koh Kood perfectly. It is not overly polished or pretentious, but that is part of its appeal. The setting is peaceful, with direct beach access, calm water, and tropical surroundings that invite you to relax. My room was clean and comfortable, with fresh linens and the basic amenities needed for a pleasant stay. The property has a casual, welcoming feel, and the staff were kind and helpful. For travelers looking for a quiet beachfront location, good value, and an authentic island-style experience, Siam Beach Resort is a place I would gladly recommend — and happily return to."

"Absolutely beautiful. Admittedly, I was very surprised to see that the toilet and shower in the villa was actually outside, but that turned out to be a blessing in disguise. The private beach is heavenly, the beach side bar and food was excellent. You're a bit far to the south, but that only puts you closer to the southern pier, and nothing is very far away in the first place - not a very big island to start with. All in all, couldn't be happier with this place."

"Very clean room and the staff was great. Our 3rd stay at Siam Beach. Great quite beach. Easy to rent scooter and travel island. We will be back. Note: pool room is cool, but the water is cold. Also, must ask the staff to turn on an turn off pool."

"Staff are really friendly and happy to help with anything! Incredible views. Can hire a moped to get around the island from the hotel. Restaurant on the beach does good food and nice cocktails!"
