We had an amazing stay at Castle Crest Motel. The staff were great. The room was not fancy, but it was clean, up-to-date, and well maintained. The location is an easy walk to the Strand and the beach. If I return to Townsville in the future (I hope I do!) I will definitely book here again.

Standard motel

Standard Motel, decent location. Host was very accommodating for our late arrival. Didn't expect the "twin bed" in the 3 person room to be a pullout couch type bed, which was uncomfortable for the guest, so heads up for that. Birds at night were pretty loud and you could hear them in the room, so recommend ear plugs.

100% recommended!

From the moment we arrived the staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was excellent, so nicely decorated, really spacious and extremely clean. We have been travelling the world and this was a perfect accommodation. Wish we'd stayed longer. 100% recommend.

Despite the Expedia booking of a Motel Queen room, we were booked into a room for the disabled. The receptionist queried our booking and looked for an alternative, but decided that was the best option, which we found to be very good. We stayed for one night. The room and associated bathroom were quite large because of there special purpose. The room had a queen and a king bed and was very clean and well maintained. A cooktop, microwave, full size refrigerator, toaster, electric kettle were all available. While not needing the special features, we found the room to be very comfortable and spacious. While close to a main road, it was very quiet. The motel was within an easy walk to the Strand, which we benefitted from as we strolled along the Strand viewing the sea and a sculpture competition. A very pleasant stay.

Received a lovely warm and friendly welcome from Denise, whose bubbly demeanour continued throughout the stay, which exceeded expectation in size, cleanliness and facilities in the room. Also, a great location close to the Strand and to access routes to and from city.
