The Rise of Sneaker Culture at the Toledo Museum of art explores the athletic shoe from its origins in the mid-1800s to its current place in high-fashion.
Opened in 1912, the Toledo Museum of Art’s Greek Ionic façade has graced the city as both landmark and legacy. The distinguished low and horizontal white marble building is articulated by a row of 16 columns, a copper roof, and a frieze of acanthus leaves. It has been renovated and expanded four times since then.

An enormous glass punch bowl, stand and glass created for the 1904 St. Louis World Fair by the Libbey Glass Company of Toledo, Ohio. The blown glass mold of the bowl weighed 143 lbs. Over 30 lbs. was cut away in the carving process.
