APA Hotels are the premier way to book your stay in japan. I've been to many different lodging options and yet I always go back to APA. Though the room is small, daily cleaning, smoking rooms available, and vicinity to stations and convenience stores make this place a no brainer. Though, it is criminally close to another APA hotel, so don't mix them up and walk into the wrong one like I did.

Poor stay with bugs as roommates.
Bidet, air conditioner, and fridge didnt work. The only way to cool down room was opening window. After staying 3 nights im covered in itchy bug bites on legs, arms, and face. Location was convenient and the hotel staff were friendly and kind.

Good location - surrounded by restaurants, short walking distance to metro station and Tsukiji market. Offer excellent amenities in the room. Hotel staff is friendly. We checked in passed midnight but still get to enjoy ramen supper at a restaurant located a few shops from the hotel. Room is a bit small and pillows are flat, but I guess is normal for Japan.

Excellent for the Price
Great stay. Small rooms that are comfortable and clean. Great location close to Fish market and multiple metro stations. Very friendly staff. Is confusing to find as there are multiple APA hotels in the area. Be sure to use google maps to locate the correct one. Went to 2 before we were able to find the correct location.

Strange check in, and warning email.
Very pretty entry and nice business hotel room. Good location. I was surprised to get an email at around 6pm saying my reservation would be cancelled if I didn't respond. I have never had such an email from a book here, and was surprised why they did that. Then at check in they seemed to have a lot of trouble sorting things out. I don't know why. Other than those things, all was well.

Never again
First of all, we arrived 50 minutes earlier than check in time and they would charge us ¥1000 extra, secondly the room so small that the room door open to the outside, room very dusty and dirty. We stayed there for two nights, felt like we were suffocating, after the second night we moved out to a near by hotel in Ginza.

This is a very convenient location, close to metro station and lots of shops nearby. However the room could be a little bit bigger.

Very small room compared to U.S. hotels. No closet or drawers for clothes, but there were hooks on the wall to hang stuff up. I was out most of the time anyway, so for the price and location, this was great. They did not have an ice machine, which might be common in Japan, and the vending machine options were limited. Fortunately, there are several 7-11s and other convenience stores only a few blocks away. Train station only a block away, so that's convenient. In the end, if I go back to Tokyo, I'd stay there again.
