Off the beaten track in a town that has all the amenities needed, and in a beautiful region. The hotel was a great size, not too big at all. Breakfast was included and deliciously made! The pub in the hotel was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the area. The biscuits, face cloths and fan in the room were appreciated, first hotel to have these small but nice additions (after staying in seven previously). The hotel is modest, clean, with kind staff, and had all we needed.
The staff was above and beyond amazing! I needed a ride to a town 30 minutes away to catch the bus. No cabs available because of a nearby wedding. The owner called a local (waitress mum) and she happily drove me to the bus stop. Unbelievable!
Clean, surprisingly modern, buscuits a nice touch and our favourite accommodation so far 5 weeks into our trip. Dinner at the pub was great irish food.
We are first time visitors to Ireland and the Murphy’s Hotel, for our first night in Ireland, was exactly what I was hoping for as a traditional Irish hotel/pub in a small out of the way village.
It is family run, and the staff and owners are very friendly and very helpful. It has a casual atmosphere that feels like you are a family guest, rather than a hotel visitor. The rooms are good at this price point and the restaurant provided wholesome, traditional Irish fare for our dinner and breakfast.
Thanks for providing such an enjoyable welcome to Ireland.
Hotel was a lovely stopping point in the beautiful county of Wicklow. Food was very good, staff were very friendly and the room was very clean!! We now wish we had time to stay longer!
