"We knew what we were getting especially for the price, the room was clean, the staff friendly but it is still pretty rundown. We went to ride the train and it is right next to the train depot so that was nice. Just some FYIs, not complaints, they still use actual keys, office closes from 10pm-8am, and it is a little way out of town so no dining within walking distance, but the town is only a mile away with several dining options. It served it's purpose and was really the only option in town."

Everything is new apart from the antiques used to furnish the rooms (apparently collected over many years before they bought the hotel). Quaint and cozy remake of a prior hotel. "Everyone, including guests, seemed very friendly. We chatted about how the fishing was and how safe the kids could play. It is a quiet property with birds and deer wondering the area. Waking to sounds of nature was relaxing. We sat on the porch and played card games while others chatted. Truly a down home feel. The beds were comfy and plenty of shopping close by."
