Top Thorkotlustadir Hotel Reviews

iStay Cottages

10/10 Excellent

"Cottage is so cute and perfect location to be by the airport but still feel like you are in Iceland. Hot tub was nice, check-in is a breeze but check-in info was not provided beforehand, we had to call. Value was excellent and the property is modern but cozy. Very cool views and proximity to the ocean is nice."

The Retreat at Blue Lagoon Iceland

10/10 Excellent

"This, in my opinion, is the best hotel in the world. The mix of ultra luxury without over pampering you is amazing. The mini bar is complimentary with unlimited refills. The surroundings and lagoons are beyond breathtaking. In the last 3 years I've been there in November I've seen the northern lights every time. I have never felt closer to nature while at a hotel. The outside world disappears and you are more relaxed than you've ever been. The only 10/10 I will ever give."

Aska Vellir

10/10 Excellent

"6 night stay was great. Apartment hotel was very functional. Accommodated 2 adults comfortably and easily. Heat and ventilation was more than adequate. Limited counter space. Check in and continued access was easy - obtain the codes via email prior to arrival. Free parking was very valuable. 20 min to downtown - easy drive. Neighborhood was tranquil. We encountered no difficulties. Grocery store 1 minute away. Two items to note: uncertain where to place the recycle and more counter space with a cooktop. was desired (not a deal breaker). There is a microwave and coffee maker. As I am extremely picky and harsh critic - our stay was ideal and would stay there again which says a lot. Staff and communication were excellent. Thank you for the experience."
