The room was clean and spacious. There was no coffee or tea in the room, but I wasn't expecting that at this price.
The staff spoke basic English, so I could still communicate with them without any major problems. Since this isn't really a touristy area and most of the guests seemed to speak French, I didn't expect the staff to be fluent in English.
The breakfast was a lovely, typical French breakfast. There was a variety of pastries, including croissants, donuts, cupcakes, and toast, along with different spreads such as Nutella, honey, and jam. They also offered hot drinks (coffee, tea, and hot chocolate), orange juice, fresh fruit, ham, cheese, yogurt, and milk. The protein options were limited, but overall, it was a really good French breakfast.
The only downside is that it's a typical old hotel without an elevator, and my room was on the third floor. Let's just say it was a good workout! 😂
The location was great, right in the center of the old town, with plenty of supermarkets and restaurants nearby.
One thing to keep in mind: I think the main door gets locked around 10 PM, so make sure to ask for the door code if you plan to stay out late at night.
Overall, I had a pleasant stay and enjoyed the experience of staying in a traditional hotel in the old town.
