Chain island's of Vestmann. The biggest and inhabited one is Heimaey. The new island was formed in 1968 and taken under protection by UNESCO in pursuit of investigation of how life develops on an uninhabited island. Heimaey is also a home for the greatest number of puffins in Iceland.
I had walked up a very steep way. To the top of an old vulcano crater, to enjoy this wonderful view.
