Velvet Lodge was a great stay. It is at a walkable distance from the central station which is convenient if you are traveling with family and have a lot of luggage like we did. The property was neat and clean, and staff are supportive. Only caveat was walking up and down the stairs for 3 floors with the bags.

Spacious

It was nice to have a lot of space in the room, a little odd climbing the spiral staircase to get to the main space however. Lots of cobwebs from the ceiling but otherwise clean.

Spacious room. I stayed on the top floor so no easily accessible window, I had a skylight. There is no elevator to the top floor so you have to go to 2 and then carry your suitcase up a flight of stairs.

Lovely hotel

Good location, very close to the train station which was nice. Staff were very nice and accommodating, especially as it was my first time in the Netherlands. Was a lovely room with a great bathroom

I don’t know how this property got a 9 by Expedia. Very misleading. It’s no more than a 6. Rundown dingy property. Is an old building which could have been charming if even a little bit of effort was made to decorate it or have cleaner carpets and any at all lighting. The elevator was the service elevator only to the second floor. The staff made no effort to help me with my luggage to the third floor. The bathroom in room 308 smelled awful. Yes Hague is a big city and I suppose you get what you pay for , but I still feel I payed too much.

Die Zimmern und das Hotel waren sehr alt. Seit mindestens 20-30 nicht renoviert so der Anschein. Alles am klappern. Umgebung war echt eine 10/10. das Hotel an sich sehr sehr alt.

Naast de vriendelijke ontvangst, was de kamer en aangelegen badkamer prima in orde. De volgende ochtend was ook het ontbijt keurig verzorgd en had het personeel ook nog mijn glutenvrije ontbijt klaar. Helemaal super dus!

部屋が掃除されておらず、汚い。注意しても改善されない。 バスルームと洗面所の排水がが出来ずに使用中に水浸しになった。クレームをつけるとフロントの女性は「部屋を変える。ディスカウントする」と言ったが、その後supervisorと話をしたところ、「時々あることだ」と開き直り、「修理するから待て」と言った。濡れたままの妻は「待てない」と非常に憤慨した。結局、部屋を変えたが、宿泊費が高い部屋なのにディスカウントも無し。アムステルダムの第一日から、旅行が台無しになった。

Mooi hotel

Mijn zus en ik hadden een nette kamer op de 3e verdieping. Kamer en badkamer was schoon en netjes bij aankomst. En niet te vergeten de vriendelijke eigenaar die ons nog tips gaf waar te dineren en te ontbijten. Hotel is op loopafstand van centrum en bezienswaardigheden en als je met het OV komt, het is nog geen 10 minuten lopen. Helemaal geen spijt dat ik hier geboekt hebt!!👍
