"The staff at night were amazing and very courteous and helpful. The room appeared to be clean at first. But I woke up with about 20 bites on my arms and legs. Not sure if they were fleas or bedbugs. Six days later, I'm still dealing with the effects. The breakfast was supposed to be excellent. It was waffles yogurt and oatmeal with additional bread options. No meat options. "

"Services in room, replenishment, toiletries, towels etc not done. The older was rundown. Moving to the newer tower was an up charge of $175 per night. .Restaurant evening service poor. Vanessa pool side service was excellent! Beautiful beach could have had more amenities than just towels and umbrellas. For example food and drink service on the beach. We would not stay at that location again and we would consider other Opal properties. "

"Good value stay. The Island Grand Tradewinds would be more of the luxury stay. We needed room for more people and a pull-out couch so we chose this location. Great beach view. We had a blast and liked our options for food on both properties."

"Breakfast was great. Beds and pillows were fair. Hairdryer was wall mounted and not enough watts. Bring your own. Parking was free and great. Hotel was vintage but very clean. I'd stay again"

"The Beachcomber was an adequate property to enjoy a beachfront getaway. Some aspects of the property are a bit outdated while others have been updated. The onsite beach bar and restaurant was handy and free chairs and umbrella on the beach was a nice touch."

"Clean rooms, really great staff. We were on the ninth floor and the plumbing seemed definitely off. Very slow drains and toilet never wanted to flush. Other than that, it was a great place to stay. "
