Ideal for Exploring La Orotava Area
Lovely characterful hotel right in the centre of the historical quarter of La Orotava. Ideal for exploring the town and as a jump off point for hiking in the valley or further afield in Tiede National Park. Suitable for a one or two night stay for exploring the area, comfortable but not luxurious. Didn’t eat here apart from breakfast which was well stocked. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. No dedicated parking, parked on the street right outside but first come first served basis. Roads a bit narrow if you’re a cautious driver but that’s all part of the charm. Helpful and attentive staff.

Lovely hotel. Nice room. Brilliant evening meal (probably the best we had in the area). Bit tight charging to use mini safe in bedroom! And breakfast ok but nowt to write home about.

Beautiful hotel in very old building
Very helpful staff. Steep streets, not good if you have any disability. Excellent location for seeing the main sights of very pretty town of La Orotava Lots of traffic pass by, but we had a room at the back so this did not affect us. No kettle in the room and one staff member was reluctant to let us take cups of tea to the room (most were OK with this.) Mediocre hair dryer.

Great hotel
This is a great 3 star hotel. The rooms are slightly smaller than modern hotels but it is after all an historic building. The bathroom was small but had everything you need. La Orotava is built on the side of a very steep hill and on street parking outside the hotel is in short supply. However the ambience of the hotel and the helfulness of the staff makes up for it.

We had a lovely stay in Hotel Rural Victoria over Christmas. Lovely room in an old, atmospheric and charming hotel. Great staff - helpful and attentive - thank you especially to Miguel who is a mine of useful information.

Comfortable and clean
Hotel was everything you expect from its star rating, room was large, clean and comfortable. No air conditioning but not needed if you had window and door open to sea. Unique experience of having the tide com in under the building. Admittedly the noise from the sea overnight may trouble some people. Food was awful though so I would not recommend taking anything other than just breakfast.

Great stay, very obliging, good restaurant
The hotel is in a lovely part of La Orotava, quite convenient, easily walkable to everything in the small town. The staff were extremely helpful and obliging, helping me with paying the bill late the evening before my early morning departure, and were available at 6AM and able to call me a taxi. The rooms were pleasingly neat and tidy and, despite not being all brand new, was comfortable. I was able to borrow an iron to iron a shirt before the event I was going to, and they were willing to help me out with any breakfast requirements I had. The restaurant was of a high standard, and it was pretty busy with diners from outside of the hotel, too.

Hotel Victoria
We stayed here for 9 days March /April 2014 and had a very pleasant stay. This is a 14 roomed small hotel, quite old fashioned and sedate which, for us, all added to it's charm. Our room was quiet and had a lovely view. Excellent lunches and evening meals in the restaurant at reasonable prices. The breakfasts had a good,varied selection of cooked or continental style choices. I would say the hotel is best suited to couples / adults as opposed to young children. The gin & tonics are fab! La Oratava is an interesting town with 2 very attractive botanical gardens, good views and numerous bars/cafes. Some streets very steep. We had use of a car and Tenerifian friends so were able to explore off the beaten track; the Anaga Mountains lovely,a boat trip from Los Gigantes to Masca to see dolphins etc also very enjoyable. The "must do" is El Teide which surpassed our expectations.

This was a treat. Beautiful old building, well maintained and with excellent service and information from the staff. The roof top terrace and views were stunning, but if you choose these rooms, you do have to carry your luggage up some steep stairs!

When we arrived, we were told the hotel had double booked us ( we had booked via hotels.com. ) They had booked us in to another cheaper hotel nearby and gave us a free meal, but we still felt a little put out.

Delightful small hotel in a pretty town
We wanted somewhere away from the beach resorts and chose La Orotava for its location. The hotel Rural Victoria was a real find. Room was fine, staff very friendly and helpful and food excellent - and all for a very reasonable price. Only minor drawback was the limited parking which meant driving round the very busy (narrow) streets if the few spaces were occupied. We would certainly book again and recommend it to others.

Beautiful old building in a traditional town
This hotel was exactly what we were looking for. We are a 60+ couple who like peace and quiet, reading, walking and eating good food, and we were more than content with what the Rural Victoria had to offer. Michelin-recommended food, a suite with huge rooms (we were upgraded on arrival at no cost) and traditional Canarian architecture all around us - within the hotel and throughout the old town outside. This is most definitely not, however, the correct choice for anyone looking for a lively atmosphere - it's almost like a retreat here.

Nice hotel Central to visit many places in Tenerif
We stayed at this hotel during the second week in February and were very impressed. The standard of the food was superb and the menu extensive, and we could see why the hotel has had a Michelin recommendation. The breakfast buffet was fine, and the only small criticism would be that there was sometimes a wait for certain items at peak times. We liked our room which had sea views towards Puerto de la Cruz. The staff need complementing on the care and attention they gave us whilst there, particularly Zaira and Miguel, who were always only too happy to help. Parking could be very difficult here, but the staff gave us good tips on where to find free parking in this busy town.

L’hôtel est très bien situé. Belle bâtisse typique. Le confort est correcte mais la chambre donnait sur la rue et du coup c’était vraiment très bruyant. Nous avons eu la chance d’assister aux animations de Noël dans le ville. Le petit-déjeuner était très décevant. Hôtel fantôme 😄 personne à l’accueil (ouverture des portes via une app) personne au service du petit-déjeuner (assiette sur la table)

Un bel hôtel (le hall d'entrée est splendide et le rooftop a une super vue sur la ville). Par contre nous étions dans une chambre donnant côté rue et c'était très très bruyant... l'isolation est clairement à revoir mais le séjour était sympa quand même.

Kallt på översta våningen!
Härligt ställe mitt i La Orotava. Vi bodde högst upp på terassvåningen med en fantastisk utsikt! Vi frös som hundar under natten! Värmen sattes på 19:00 men försvann strax därefter. På morgonen var elementet "fisljummet". Sängarna är som det brukar i Spanien..hårda!

correcto hotel, a precio excesivamente caro
Está bien situado, pero a medias entre un "hotel rural/con encanto" y hotel de un casco urbano (por pequeño que fuera, que tampoco es el caso): al final, me parece excesivamente caro para los servicios que ofrece y para la decoración (dudosa) y estado de instalaciones: el wifi no llega, tiene muchas barreras arquitectónicas (entiendo que son "servidumbres" de estar instalado en un edificio de esa antigüedad), los baños están pésimamente decorados, el servicio es escaso, no hay quien aparque cerca si vas con coche (ni hay parking cercano).... y el precio es superior al de cualquier hotel de cadena con cuatro estrellas. No se puede pretender jugar a todo. Aun así, el resultado general es correcto, solo que sobrepagado

Accueil charmant. Chambre un peu petite mais très confortable. N'attendez pas à avoir une isolation phonique excellente dans un tel bâtiment mais c'est le revers de la médaille d'une telle demeure. N'hésitez pas à réserver le restaurant, il est excellent avec sa cuisine ouverte.

Un buen hotel
El hotel se encuentra en el centro de la ciudad, al lado del ayuntamiento, es muy bonito, es una casa antigua toda de madera, el servicio es muy bueno , todo el personal es muy amable, las habitaciones son amplias y están muy limpias, el único inconveniente es que no tienen aire acondicionado, y la noche que nos quedamos hizo mucho calor y poder dormir fue complicado. Teníamos el desayuno incluido, y aunque no había mucha variedad, teníamos lo necesario para desayunar bien. En definitiva, es un buen hotel para pasar una o dos noches, y conocer La Orotava, que es un pueblo muy bonito.
