It is a nice, well kept hotel, with lots of staff. We had breakfast included, with a large selection of items. Very good quality, with lots of coffee machines & fruit juices. No complaints about the breakfast. Rooms were quite large & clean, although our second room with golf course view, was not as clean as the first one. It also did not have the sun loungers it was supposed to have.
It is a 'cashless' hotel, which means you cannot buy anything throughout the hotel with cash. This clearly annoyed a LOT of people! It may well be more convenient for the hotel, but it is very inconvenient for the customer!
I heard no end of moaning from customers about this. We were going to buy some drinks, but we didn't bother because of it. You have to use a card (which presumably will incur a transaction/conversion fee each time used), or set up an account at reception.
However, our visit was let down for several reasons. We had VERY noisy yobs next door, & reception couldn't care less & wouldn't move us. Neither could they about several break ins on last day according to one customer. Police were called. Many patio doors NOT locking - hence why so many break ins, especially that day in the rooms facing the golf course! Also, clientele was somewhat chavvy. Tattoos everyhwere, common & loud. The place was full of a certain type of person - I think people expecting a luxury environment will be disappointed! Hotel has no restaurants or shops nearby at all. Taxi to beach was 11 euros!!
