Disappointed.
No pool open as advertised and no kitchen equpiment or water/facilities in caravan and very cold with no heater. Nice setting but property tired. Bathroom facilities clean.
The cutest cottage - it was tucked away and beautiful plantings around it
It was called apple cottage and you felt like you were on your own
I’m hoping to be back on the TA 2020
Classic kiwi bach feel. Wonderful playground and refreshing pool. Lovely mature trees and birdsong. Clean and tidy. Good value for money. Peaceful and relaxing. Owners are hardworking but discreet.

Lovely site with mature oak trees.
Good play facilities for children.
Kitchen lacked some basics.
We found the lady abit rude, the pools werent ready to be used. A couple were in the spa n were told to get out while it heated up.
But apart from that the children's play ground was great.

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service
No showers
The room was musty smelling and when we had our showers the water trickled out. I was going to wash my hair but decided to wait. The manager just said they are trying to fix it but didn’t want to compensate us for not being able to have a proper shower. Not a very good start to the day. The place has great potential if they got these things fixed. Cool playground.

A cottage in the country complete with cows at the window. Very unique. Families will love the extensive outdoor adventure area amidst the trees with tree hut, flying fox and many more activities. Large peddle cars and swimming pool top it off. Even the young at heart enjoyed the activities.

The owner is not very pleasant to deal with she is quite rude and very unprofessional
Very hot room - opened the window - which filled with big flies - no fly spray and no fan. Advertised hot pools which were empty - apparently only open for two hours at night. Two other pools empty!

Check in was great with the very friendly owner/manager. Originally booked a caravan on location, but the owner/manager encouraged us to stay in a cabin for no additional charge, which was very considerate. She didn’t seem like she wanted us to stay in the caravan and, after seeing and smelling it, we could see why. The showers and toilets are average. They should just state that they don’t have WiFi with how bad the connection and speed is. There are also chickens and cats that freely roam the property.
Poor service and quality of accomodation. We did not enjoyed our stay. You feel unsafe as no lights or sensory light in the cottage. Hot pool was not hot and theres no light its too dark. Not good for family accommodations, not child friendly.....
Good playground and karts for kids.
Owner is rude, couldnt understanding guy behind front desk. Mice and poo in room. Old ripped blankets. Freezing cold rooms that smelt yuk. Told by owner hotpools were open, only 1 little hardy warm, dirty spa was.
Sadly the owners/managers weren't very friendly from the very first contact. The park says there are BBQ facilities available but doesn't state it's an extra charge. The hot pools were empty and the attached spa pool to the cabin had other people coming and going and had an additional charge of $30 per hour. The property was clean and warm... It did feel a bit slap and dab with a thrown together cutlery set and different wine glasses and cups. It has all the potential to be a really good little spot and living just down the road could be a great weekend break away. Sadly with the above issues, I'm not sure if that will happen especially with so many other nice little places in the immediate vicinity.

Disliked: Cleanliness
There was a big spider web at the entrance of the door indicating the property wasn't used for a while and also the property wasn't cleaned before we checked in.
About 2 km from the small thermal town of Te Aroha, this property offered a low cost option when we had to be in Hamilton by 10am the next day. The cabins are beautiful, the rural setting divine, the night sky breathtaking. There is a pool an hot pools that were well-used, although we went down the road to a thermal resort. The beds are comfy, bedding is good, the kitchen adequate (bring your own food). A good option if you have a car. Prices very reasonable. I usually stay in urban hotels so this was a welcome change of pace. Thoroughly enjoyed it. The town of Te Aroha is exceptionally beautiful and there were plenty of dining options. So if you have a little bit of extra time in your business itinerary, make your way to Te Aroha and replenish the spirit under the mountain.
It was fine for the price however then room smelt and the hot pools looked dirty. We only needed a bed so it was fine. Wouldn't go out of my way to stay again.
Overall stay ok. Quite a bit upset when I booked for a large room with multiple beds but got "automatically" allocated to a smaller one just because there were only 2 of us staying thou.
