"We have stated this property before and loved it. Five years later, it’s not the same. I think new ownership took over and they’ve scaled it down to nothing in terms of service, staff, amenities. Basically there is no one behind the reservation desk all day, instead they’re in the kitchen making snack food, which is all the “restaurant “offers. Time and time again we saw people very discouraged because they could find nobody to help them with things like getting ice or paying for food items....

"Pictures on the internet made it appear to be an Inn. It was actually a motel just above route 7. Tricky taking a left onto a 4 lane highway to get to Lenox but doable. Room was clean, air conditioned, comfortable and great staff. Few minor issues: 1. Bathroom fan didn't work and one of the charge ports on the shared bedside table was dead. I would recommend if all the cute Inns in Lenox are full."

If you are hoping for a charming Berkshire bed and breakfast with a cooked breakfast and interaction with your host, you will be disappointed. "The Yankee Inn was a convenient and affordable option for our visit to Tanglewood. The check-in staff was friendly and advised us of breakfast and checkout hours. The room was clean and thankfully well air conditioned during our stay there in 90 degree weather! "Would not stay there again, management keyed another individual to our room and gave access to it not 10 minute after we checked in. When called to rectify the situation blew it of to a simple mistake and never really apologized for it. Although the room was listed as non smoking the smell of old smoke could still be smelled in the room. I have stay Econolodges before and they have not been bad! This one should be looked at by corporate."

"It was the cheapest alternative within a 20 miles radius of Tanglewood. So get what you pay for. It is an older motel so the condition is to be expected. For the price, it was worth the one night stay. Shower wasn't pretty but it worked. Staff was friendly enough. Continental breakfast was just old muffin type things that come in the plastic wrap."

"The hotel is easy to find. It is clean, neat, and tidy. We checked in early - great! My one concern is the 800 grit sandpaper for toilet paper. Motel 6 uses better toilet paper. Unfortunately, the bean counters won. They have a great price on toilet paper, and the property suffers as a result. Everyone and everything was great. The toilet paper was from the 1950's - honest. Sorry to have to report this. Hopefully, this will get someon's attention."
