Hotel can easily be spotted from the Taichung station; about 5 min walk away. Bus terminal and a few convenience stores are also nearby. Staff are friendly and quite helpful.

Good location , suitable for family with young kid

Very good locations. Right opp the train stations. Nearby has 7-11, watson etc.. Room is clean and cozy. The playground is siitable for kids below 7yrs. Buffet breakfast is decent.

Check in was a breeze. Staff are polite. Room is exactly as shown in photos. Surprised that there is sound system in the room, great when watching movies. Room is small but comfortable. Bath tub is great, kids loved it. Hotel has a small kids play area and has roof top access to see a good view of the station.

The hotel is right across Taichung Railroad station (which is NOT the MRT) and has a lot of dining and shopping options nearby. The hotel is a small property but it has quite some activities, especially for the kids. Beware that there are always a big crowds outside of the front door of the hotel after dark. The condition and the size of the room was good enough for a short stay. Their check-in time is late perhaps because they only have one small elevator and they couldn't have too many cleaning crews working at the same time. The breakfast quality was alright, but you could see their thoughtfulness when they tried to provide different items on the two consecutive days I went. Overall it is a pleasant stay, considering the low price.

Quirky , clean and cheap

booked this hotel last min on my way to Taichung from the HSR train and it really was a fun little place. It had a quirky design like a lot of hotels in Taiwan if you don't mind that. The staff was very helpful and friendly! the Room was a nice size for 2 people, the bathroom was more for 1 person at a time, but the shower was really nice pressure and the Price was great ! the ONLY problem for me was the pillows being too firm. thats all! and i travel and stay in hotels all over the world. So if you just want a clean place to sleep then its here. also the train station is outside the door if you are taking that. and the HSR station is about a $250 NT taxi ride away.

This hotel is right by the train station and is not the only Norway hotel. Please pay attention , especially if you have a trip planned that picks you up at the hotel. I stayed at Norway 1, and just 2 minutes walk there was a Norway 3. At first I was also confused finding it, as the Uber driver dropped us at the nearby hotel. It is attached to Hotel Lesure Taichung ( super nice in the lobby). By mistake we entered there and the girl took us to the right one , just next door. The Norway hotel was very colorful and did not seem like a usual hotel. The lobby area was pretty small and the girls working there spoke no English. Thanks to the Google translate. We checked in earlier and they were kind to keep our luggage till we went to visit Rainbow Village. The room had a huge king size bed, but it was pretty small in general. We got coffee and tea makers, as well as toiletries ( soap, tooth paste and brush, hair comb). The room was at the 7th floor facing the train station. It is also very close to the mall( just across from the train station) which is on the other side of the street. The hotel offers complimentary breakfast at the second floor. To go up and down you have to wait for quite some time for the elevator, as there is only one. The room was very clean, the only downside was that the bathroom had a glass door that you can see shadows through, and there is no shower cabin, just the bathtub one. If you are a pretty tall person, be mindful as the shower head is quite lower

Right across the street from the main train station. We went looking for lunch in one direction and the neighbourhood was very ethnic Vietnamese, Filipina and other SE Asian with virtually no Taiwanese restaurants around for many blocks. We should have headed in the opposite direction to encounter Taiwanese cuisine. Exterior of the building looked like it could do with some work but the inside was fine. Rooms were functional and the breakfast included was simple. Hotel looked underwhelming from the street and entrance but was clean and central.
