Wow, what a fabulous place for a Staycation. The buildings are all old and have been left in their original form however the rooms are great, the food great, the location however, fabulous. If you want a break and enjoy a walk and a glass of bubbles or two with a view, this is the place. I have lived in Sydney all my life and cannot believe I have never stayed her before. We will be back every 6 months.

The property was lovely and peaceful with beautiful views over the harbour. The buffet breakfast and hotel amenities like the waterside bar and cafe were also nice. The shuttle service was also handy.
We booked 2 king bedrooms. The rooms were clean but quite basic. Unfortunately one of the rooms we were allocated (even though they were the same price) was located at the back of building looking into a hill and was very dark. A noisy electricity box was located outside this room which kept us awake during the night.
Lovely quiet setting close to Manly. Perfect getaway location in Sydney. Buffet breakfast was great value. Great to learn about the history of this place.

Unfortunately, our stay at Q Station did not meet our expectations. We were not impressed with the lack of cleanliness in our cottage. Some staff members were not very helpful when we required assistance. The quality of the food was not great considering the prices. The overall upkeep in terms of maintenance was below standards. It’s very sad that a beautiful, historical property such as this has been left in the hands of a poorly managed company. I truly hope that things can change for the better.
We stayed for 2 nights and the team were amazing the only issue we had was the restaurants were not open so we had to make do with the cafe food and the 2nd night we ordered uber eats ... team were great. place was great .room was great. Shuttle bus anywhere was quick sticks ... an amazing adventure minus the food situation
Lovely stay. Clean room but not air conditioned so can be hot on warmer days. Staff very welcoming. Travel light as u need a shuttle bus to room or it’s a 5-8 min walk to accommodation
One needs to read carefully the description of this property. It is situated in a picturesque area, but it has basic amenities. No air con. The outside noise (cicadas?) is very loud. Also, a chronometer style noise came through a window.
Good and fresh breakfast, but not genuine continental.
Beautiful walks and history. Staff very friendly. Some IT issues with telephone and Internet but resolved.

The area was beautiful and very peaceful, staff were generally nice and helpful but amenities were a little old. Rooms could use some screens on doors to get fresh air without mozzies.
Clean comfortable room with ensuite bathroom. A little disappointed with no view from our room and because of no security or fly screens unable to leave doors or windows open at night. The room has a ceiling fan but only operated on two speeds…full speed or off. There’s no air conditioning so would be hot. The restaurant was lovely and the shuttle buses ran regularly. Hopefully they are looking to upgrade to electric vehicles soon. Overall though we enjoyed our stay. It’s a lovely spot, far away from the crowd, but reasonably close to conveniences.

Q station was a really unique property. The staff were wonderful and so helpful. The property is dated and the rooms are warm but we asked for a fan which made it a little better. The location isn’t ideal for exploring Sydney as it is a little further out but is perfect if you’re wanted to stay in and explore Q station.

The absence of air conditioning in a four star hotel was disappointing; the room was very warm and there were no windows to open; only options were to be hot or open the doors onto the communal verandah which was accessible to the public!
Great view and proximity to the beach. Interesting property to explore and lovely staff.

Nice staff and great location. Shuttle bus to Manly. Very quite. Rooms and facilities are old, so don't expect a premium comfort (noise insulation between the rooms is not good). WIFI is slow.
Lovely natural location, lot of history, Boilerhouse is an excellent restaurant, frienfly staff, clean and big room - we had a perfect stay

Property was great but the rooms lack ventilation. Fans are fine but on a hot day, it needs cross ventilation for the hot air to escape at night. We had one really small window in our room. We had to leave the doors open over night for some cool breeze to enter the room.
