"The restaurant is top notch and the chef is a classically trained executive chef and prepares lots of creative and exciting dishes. This was my second trip there in less than two months and I would stay there every time I come to the Portland area! What makes the hotel so unique is there Japanese style onsen! It is a large soaking pool 2 feet deep filled with hot water where you just relax. For Americans, it might be a little bit intimidating because you go in there naked! But there are separate pools for men and women. After you try it the first time, you’ll go back again and again. And the hotel rooms? The hotel rooms are superior a first class! In incredibly large rooms, larger than a standard hotel room anywhere in the United States. The amenities are awesome. The shower and bath are awesome, you will not leave this hotel disappointed in any way shape or form. When I went in there, I checked in early and fell down on the bed and fell asleep for an hour and a half. I woke up and felt like $1 million. This is an extraordinary place to stay."

"All I was looking for was a bed, shower and breakfast. The Holiday Inn Express in Hillsboro fulfilled these requirements. The neighborhood was quiet, parking adequate, room was clean and breakfast okay. The only bit that displeased me was the soaps in the room was the type in bottles with pumps and the bottles were attached to the wall. Rather inconvenient. "

"breakfast was the typical continental with lots of options plus hot scrambled eggs and bacon or sausage depending on the day. Yes it was fresh and hot. They have a nice coffee area separate from the food buffet area. "

"Room had one tiny window that could not open the curtains, refrigerator was loud, location difficult to manage without car. "

"We would love to give a 5 star review as the front desk personnel were courteous and informative. The breakfast choices were also excellent. The reason for the 3 stars was due to the fact that the freezer was frozen over and during the night one of our cans of water exploded in the refrigerator. Not a pleasant sound or experience to wake up to. We did notify the front desk and nothing was ever done to rectify/replace the refrigerator during our stay. Our bottle of creamer was also frozen. We checked out a day early and the front desk person stated that we would receive a credit as long as we contacted Hotels.com. (third party) This is the only place I could find to send an email to request the refund. We checked in on Monday, Dec. 22 and checked out on Sunday, Dec. 29. 2025. I have all emails of our booking and photos of the refrigerator if requested. Wishing you all a Happy New Year. Please notify us as to when we will receive our one day refund. Thank you."
