"We loved the Essenhaus Inn! Only one suggestion….perhaps upgraded cotton linens and bedspread would have been nice. There were stains in the bathtub which I think was actually on the film covering. "Clean place, just what we needed. "

"We arrived, went to our room and noticed that the door was a jar prepped open by a cleaning bucket and rag. It made me nervous to walk in, but I did anyway to make sure there was nobody in the room waiting for us when we came in. Room appeared decent, but have a lingering marijuana smell that was overpowering. He got into bed to go to bed and sleep for the night since it was late my husband turned on the TV and it didn’t work. It was too late to ask somebody to fix it. I went to use the bathroom and the sink was dirty and also ran so slow that water gathered and didn’t drain for an hour. The toilet had trouble flushing. Tried to forget about that so we slept on the bed that you rolled off of. It was angled oddly. When we woke up in the morning to get ready to leave, we realized there was no shower curtain. My husband had to go to the front desk to ask for a new curtain and we had to put it on ourselves. The hall smelled of marijuana too. "

"Breakfast was hot, homemade food and very tasty too! Coffee was good and hot. Staff smiling and helpful in answering questions. We enjoy staying at the Blue Gate and also seeing the wonderful shows that we love to see at the PAC which is within walking distance. You won’t be disappointed staying here. "

"The room was very clean, loved the fresh, clean smell of the linens! Staff was friendly & the grounds were well maintained. Parking was fine. I only had one issue, I had an extremely difficult time getting onto the bed! They are very high & an older person can’t quite maneuver like we use to! And I think the bathroom could use more than one grab bar. Maybe I should have requested a handicap room! Anyhow, over all, a very pleasant place to stay!"

"Room was just renovated and clean. They are undergoing construction but it did not impact anything. Breakfast was good! Brand new TV. Only concern was the hot water in the shower was not consistent and same for the air conditioner. We notified the front desk."
