"Pool was very enjoyable. Amenities were great. For some reason though we can hear everything through walls and door. Maybe waterproofing door would benefit. You can see light co Ing though side and bottom of doir . Which is probably why you could hear everything on corridor."

"We had an amazing stay at The Martinsburg! We spent two days here and it was the perfect Hill Country getaway. The cabin is beautiful, modern, and extremely well kept. You can tell a lot of thought went into the design and details to make the stay comfortable and relaxing. The location is fantastic — peaceful and surrounded by the rolling hills, yet still very close to Fredericksburg and several great wineries. Being within walking distance to Pedernales Cellars was a huge plus for us. The cabin was very clean, well stocked, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We especially loved the quiet atmosphere and the beautiful views of the Hill Country. If you're looking for a relaxing place to stay near Fredericksburg, we highly recommend The Martinsburg. "We have stayed at Peach Tree at least a coupe of times and it is a quaint place, but the room we were given is at the property next to it, The Blue Haus. We were expecting the usual room and this one did not meet the standards we were used to. A number of things made it disappointing. The door has a the window at the top and light from the sign came into the room. I put a towel over the door to block it and it helped a little The bed was hard and lumpy and I woke with a backache. The area with the bathroom has a step up and is a tripping hazard, especially at night. We left a day earlier because of it all. "
