We absolutely loved the place, it is clean and close to everything, love the interior. it looks much better than the pictures and very close to airport shuttle stop. The hosts are very kind prepared our breakfast even outside of the regular hours because our early tour and early flights. We definitely recommend this place.
This is a stellar property run by a lovely couple! Vintage building with amazing upgrades like the space age elevator and others that complement the charm. Fresh croissants and other tasty fresh breakfast options. Even chocolate cake one night- Yum! And great parking option! This is a 5 star plus property and experience!
Villa Eckhoff is an outstanding place to stay. The interoir is very nice done. The breakfast is very good. The owners, Margrethe and Alf Haakon, are very nice people and helpsome. Its the best B@B we have experienced in our live. Hope to get back there.
Excellent location for getting into town. Quiet street. Clean, comfortable room. If using a hire car, factor in the extra cost of paying for a daily parking pass to park in the nearby streets through Easypark App. Pretty straightforward.
You will need WiFi signal to operate the doors - external and you room doors which is tricky if you don’t have mobile roaming, but you get used to it! Alf the proprietor was very helpful. Would definitely recommend.
It was well priced for Stavanger. It's a 10 minute walk from the central train station and bus / coach station and airport bus stop, and only a further 10 minutes to the main shopping and eating district in the city centre. It's also just a 5 minute walk to a well stocked supermarket. The included breakfast was continental but sufficiently varied. The room and bed was comfortable and clean although the decor might not be to everyone's taste. There is a shared kitchenette for tea and coffee. The shared kitchenette also has a fridge and microwave for you to store and heat food - handy given such facilities aren't in the room. If you've got an early start the next day, you can forgo breakfast and ask them the day before to provide a great packed lunch instead with sandwiches, yoghurt, fruit, and juice. The staff are very easy to communicate with. The building and room access is all online and digital. It works amazingly - so long as you're reasonably digitally literate and confident.
Couples trip. We stayed 2 nights. The location is great- only a 10 minute walk to downtown. Breakfast was delicious. Keep in mind that this small bed and breakfast uses contactless check-in, so you don’t meet the hosts unless you need something. We left extra early on our departure day and the host said he would’ve prepared some to-go breakfasts for us had he known. He was very nice and allowed us to store our luggage there when we arrived early to town…also allowed us to check in a little early. My advice- contact them if you have questions. I was a little hesitant to bother them, but they were helpful when I did. When we got to our room, I thought maybe we had a shared bathroom, but that was not the case- the other room was never occupied, although we didn’t know this. I should’ve asked, but that part was just a little unclear. Overall great stay. Great service. I would totally stay here again. Loved Stavanger, so I hope I get the chance to!
This property is well taken care of by Marit and her husband. The rooms are clean and beautifully decorated. The beds are comfortable. The bathroom is well functioning and clean. There’s a balcony you can sit outside and enjoy the fresh air after waking around town. It feels like home. Marit greeted us every morning with a smile and warm welcome. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it to friends and family.
Flott, lite hotell, sentral beliggenhet, kort gåavstand ned til gamlebyen. Utmerket renhold. Hotellet ligger i en stille, rolig sidegate med lite støy.
