Thanks to a tweet from the @ODNR this flower has been identified as blue cohosh (Caulophyllum thalictroides) also known as squaw root or papoose root. The common name comes from the striking blue fruit that maintains on this plant throughout summer. A close up of the three petaled red bloom of Toadshade (Trillium sessile) that remain upright. Toadshade being sort of an odd man out in the Ohio Trillium, as most blooms are white and the blossoms fully open.
