After traveling all night we were in hopes for an early check in and was told check in was at 3 to come back then. Then the clerk tried to school us on how the hotel industry works! They did absolutely nothing to try and accommodate us. I was in town to get married so I just brushed it off and let it go! Myself being a GM for two hotel franchise properties for more than 18 years of my career know how the check in and check out process works. There was absolutely no reason to be as rude as the front desk clerk was and it should be unacceptable. I told the clerk we would go get something to eat and do some shopping and I asked for the hotel phone number to give them a call and check to see if by chance a room had come open and cleaned as we were walking out the door she yelled mam check in is at 3. The following day my bridesmaids and I were walking back from the from dinner next door and she was finishing her cigarette and we were talking catching up and looking at the freshly planted flowers the desk clerk comes out to smoke himself and says what are you doing putting your cigarette out in the plant me not a smoker told him not she clearly is still smoking and I do not smoke I was trying to explain to her that these were one of my favorite flowers and that would come back every year before you rudely interrupted and assumed I am in Springfield at least two-three weekends a was doing something wrong! I chose a different hotel this past weekend for my Springfield stay.

There was a lot of machinery noise. Not from outside construction, etc., but from equipment in the room. AC and other facility related equipment. The first room was very noisy so we asked and were moved to a different room the second night. It was not as loud, but still noticeable.

I always read reviews, so I like to let others know what I think. The hotel was nice and clean. Some people would say it’s outdated, but I did not think so. The beds were comfy. The breakfast was good. It was like most breakfast are though pancakes eggs sausage biscuits and gravy cereal muffins toast, yogurt check in and check out was very easy, the only thing is it’s been almost a week and I still have not got my deposit back so I will be calling them to see what’s going on

Old and run down. Paid $75 extra for our dog so we could get a room with stains all over the carpet and sticky. If they are going to charge extra then make sure you are using the extra money to keep the room clean. I shouldn't have to pay extra if the room isn't going to be maintained like all the other rooms. Unless all their rooms are subpar.

The room was clean. Pretty worn out though. Definitely needs a face lift. Not necessarily the hotels fault but the smell of marijuana was so strong you couldn’t even smell the breakfast buffet in the lobby so we did not even bother with staying for breakfast.

To use the pool you had to go outside to the hotel next door, wind around through several corridors in the basement, go to the 2nd floor to get a key for the pool area and then take the elevator to the 14th floor to actually swim! The staff was nice and tried to be helpful even though they were under staffed. We had an issue with the air and maintenance came right away and tried to fix the problem. It was still really warm in our room so when we left I told them maintenance needed to come again.

When we arrived we were told even though we had a reservation they did not have a room for us. Called the hotel they were supposed to be sending their overflow to. They would not take us either. A room was somehow found for us; which we were thankful for. However the hotel was absolutely freezing! We were on floor 1 right by the side exit which because of the negative temperatures and wind outside the door did not shut. My guess would be no more than 50 degrees inside. Then as we were eating breakfast the fire alarms went off. We just packed and left at that point. Might have had a better stay in warmer weather but I do not recommend this hotel during the colder months due to lack of heat.
