"We had a good time staying at Hampton Inn San Diego-Kearny Mesa as a family of three. Things that stood out for me was breakfast, courteous staff & cleanliness. Location is just 15-20 min drives to most of the attractions including airport & old town train stations. We haven't used pool & gym facilities but they look good. They have a good lobby & dinning area. Breakfast is better than typical cheap hotels as they include one egg dish & maintain good hygine. "

"Don't be fooled by the aged sign on the pole, the rooms have been renovated, with good workmanship. A bonus is the tiny Thai restaurant just 2 blocks south on Magnolia Blvd. Access to I-8 and 67 is flawless. Excellent value. "

It's not the best location but still because of closed in parking lot (only one way in or out) on doot or vehicle you can at ease about yourself and your car so you can sleep easy.
