Room was well maintained, breakfast spread was extensive, staff were top notch in terms of friendliness, sauna/infinity pool is incredible. Shuttle to/from train station on day of arrival/departure was convenient. Spiez is a wonderful little town. This is the nicest hotel we’ve ever stayed at, and we WILL definitely stay here again!

This hotel is absolutely wonderful. The restaurant staff are so nice. The view from the balcony is amazing and with it being close to the train station, we were able to get to where we needed very quick.

The staff was amazing, very friendly, clean environment. They were always available for any questions we had. Very very helpful. I love the location. Only thing, I wish breakfast was included as it seemed very basic. The lunches and dinners were super delicious.

Amazing view of the Thun lake and Spiez castle from the property. Very unique place to stay, offering a perfect Swiss experience. Close to all tourist destinations like Grindelwald, Istelwald, Jungfrau. Well connected by bus and train. The staff provided a bus pass so we didn't have to walk to the train station. Good weather in May made our stay in the comfy room with a scenic view memorable. Make sure you check and book the room as they have multiple categories of lake view rooms. The best view is from higher floors. Ours had a view partially blocked by a house.

Stunning Views

We had a wonderful stay. We stayed in a suite that was very roomy. Comfortable king bed. No air conditioning. Absolutely beautiful views of the castle and Lake Thun. Metal pool was just okay but there’s private access to the lake. About a 10 minute walk to get to the ferry. Quite an elevated walk to the train station. Food was 8/10. Staff was amazing.

Don't rely on Google maps for availability - this hotel didn't show up as having availability on good maps but did show up on Expedia. Very nice but small room, great bathroom / shower, comfortable bed, sauna spa, amazing rooftop area, great bar and really nice people at the front desk (Danke Shöen Saskia for being amazing). Parking is available and close. Would highly recommend at the price point (which is expensive but reasonable for Switz). I had initially wanted to stay in Lauterbrunnen but "settled" for Spiez...of you have a car I'd almost recommend to stay here instead of LB.

Bring your own iron in Switzerland!

A beautiful hotel and location but unfortunately the air conditioning was broken so we had little sleep. The staff were courteous but didn’t give us fans until the ot was too late. The pool is superb and we probably just had a bad experience, we received a 20% discount for the problems was fair.

The Belvedere Hotel in Spiez is a beautiful, clean property with stunning Lake Thun views and friendly staff. However, room cleaning was subpar—hair and garbage remained on beds and floors, and sheets weren’t changed despite opting for daily service. The green initiative is great, but cleanliness shouldn’t suffer. The steep hike to the town/train station was tough with luggage, and missing the paid shuttle led to a 50 CHF Uber ride. A solid hotel, but housekeeping and accessibility issues drop it to 3.5/5 stars.

Perfect lakeside stay

Wonderful location, beautiful views on the lake, mountains and castle. I loved being able to walk down the lake each morning for a swim, using the hotel's access and facilities (dressing room, toilet) right on the lakeside.

Es ist etwas teuer aber für die Region wohl ok. Es hat im Zimmer eine Tasche mit Tüchern, Schlappen etc. um an den kleinen Pool, den Saunabereich und die Liegeflächen zu gehen. Mega praktisch Bar hat grosse auswahl und nette Aussicht Personal freundlich Parkplätze muss man sich etwas orientieren, damit man richtig steht. Wird am Empfang aber auch nochmals angesprochen.

Absolutely beautiful hotel with outstanding staff!

This is my second visit to this beautiful hotel! When I arrived yesterday, I was warmly greeted by Carolina, who remembered me from my stay in February. Her customer service is truly outstanding, and she made me feel so welcome. The room was ready, and I was overwhelmed with joy with the beauty of my room, with a beautiful view of the lake. Hotel Belvedere has a lovely lido, where you can sunbathe n enjoy swimming in the lake. The pool and wellness center is gorgeous. The staff is amazing, and I hope to return to this beautiful hotel every year. Thank you Carolina, and entire staff for making this feel like a second home in Switzerland!

Our room is to hot the Aircondition is not working we ask to fixed it and somebody check it but don’t work they give us electricfan for 2 days we pay 500dollar a room for just loft room with electricfan not happy at all the veiw is good the breakfast is good
