Food and drinks were priced fairly.. which is more than can be said about the room rate!
Crazy that locals get a price break and they make the non residents bend over ! Sure would like to understand that logic.
The tram to 7 glaciers is a must if you stay there !

"All around great! I read reviews so when I saw the good reviews and high rating on Hotel Glacier, we decided to give it a try. I am so glad we did! The hotel didn't look like much on the outside but the lobby was nice and clean. Check-In was easy. Staff was pleasant and efficient. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was very good. $100/night less expensive than another nearby option. We will definitely stay at Hotel Glacier when we return to Valdez and would highly...
"Very sweet and helpful staff. Free shuttle pickup at airport and they were right there when we walked out the door! Loaded all luggage and unloaded and didn’t want a tip but we gave him one anyway. Great restaurant on property called Pipers. EXCELLENT SEAFOOD, service and we loved Jesse the bar tender. Breakfast was DELICIOUS and I’ve never been givin 5 pieces of bacon before! lol. Cool to see sea planes taking off and landing.

"Really comfortable bed - I had a great night's sleep! Beautiful lodge with five rooms, lots of relaxing spaces to hang out, hot tub on the deck next to the rooms, and beautifully landscaped outside. Breakfast served on real China dishes was delicious. Enjoyed a nice visit with fellow guests. Owners were friendly and welcoming, and made check in and out really simple. I'm so glad I found this treasure for a good night's rest while I'm in town. "
