The hotel bar was closed due to renovation. Everything's just a bit dated, and I can understand that they want to renovate. The spa area was nice for the kids. I couldn't figure out how to get the sauna hot - might have been a user error. Walkable to Tom Tit's, the main street and the train station. We forgot an item in the room, the staff is very accommodating and helpful even after we've left. I would come back to stay here again just for the sake of the pool.

One receptionist was arrogant. Everything we asked he always have negative answers. For example we asked for icecubes he said machine was broken. But when we asked the other and we got icecubes. And a lot more that everytime its him we asked for something its always negative. With our 3 nights stay it's not nice to get a service like it.

A run down, scabby hotel. Breakfast was terrible. If you opt for oatmeal at a breakfast buffet then you know its bad. Nevertheless, the room was ok but it was COLD. Bring your own heater. Not sure if they paid their utilities bill, smh. Plus was the kettle in the room.

The employees at the reception treated me with an extreme level of contempt and disrespect. If you imagine any "very rac*st movie scene" you are close to what happened. I tried to check out 1 day early, and they refused. I said i thought that was strange. Then they loudly in front of everyone on the lobby made it crystal clear (several times) that they thought I was stupid to have the opinion that it was strange They then promised me, VERY clearly, that I could call in later that day and check out over the phone. I also asked them to ask their management to call me. When i called them later to check out they told me it could not be done over the phone today. When I asked them why management had not called me, they explained the reason was that "he was working from home today"

Weird place - Attention extra fees We really wanted to give them a Change, even with some negative Reviews, but Most of them are true. At first: yes It smells weird a Mix between carpetglue and If there was a fire burning before. The Check-in was not inspiring, on Expedia was No information about an extra Fee for the Pool, which was in the wellnesscenter, although there are informations about extra fees for animals. But we Had to pay extra for the Pool 18€ - Person! A day! No discussion or Concession! IT May have been acceptable If the wellnesscenter would have been worked. But the mens Sauna - did Not Work, the steam sauna - did Not Work, the Water-Massage at the Pool - did Not Work. The room was Kind of ok, but the smell...and yes the heating did Not Work well. So the Bath was cold anyway, because there ist No heating at all. At the time we were there there have been Renovation works(?) so we haven been waked up by impact drilling machines. Ongoing Repair work on many Corners. The breakfast was an American Standard, but the scrambled eggs have been a soup. The Location of the Hotel ist weird too, in the middle of a residential area. A fun fact: on the Best Western webside faq is a Q. Does the Best Western Plus Skogshojd have a pool? No, we do not have a pool Well, weird... Overall dissapointing experience.
