"I was adventuring solo for a few days and stayed in the 3-bed hostel room at the Avon. The room was small but the bed was comfy, the amenities were nice (i.e. towels and toiletries in the bathroom), and the staff was welcoming and helpful. It is a funky, cozy, old-timey spot in the mountains, with a covered porch with rocking chairs so you can sit outside and look at the mountains winding down after a day of hiking or having your morning coffee. "We didn’t really know what to expect with this hotel, but we absolutely loved it. The whole vibe of the place was fun and laid back. We enjoyed the beautiful views from the hot tub. The staff was incredibly friendly. The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was almost all carbs with yogurt and smoked salmon this morning, but we typically don’t rely on hotel breakfast because we are generally clean eaters, but we will definitely be back."
