Room 5 has no windows and no air conditioning. It was clean, though. They told me about no air conditioning when I checked in, but the slip of paper they gave me said open the windows, but there is no window.
I asked them for another room either at the kendall lodge or their other property at the triangle inn, and I would pay the difference, but they said that they couldn’t change it because I booked through a 3rd party..
I went back to the room & found that there was a door that led to the lobby (that I thought was a closet door…by the way, the room does not have a closet).
The door did not have a dead bolt on it, so I called the front desk and complained that the door didn’t have a lock. The person asked me, “who would want to steal your stuff”. Agitated, I asked him if where he lived had a lock on the door, to which he replied, “yes”, and I asked him who would want to steal your stuff? I did not use profanity or call him names, but admit, I was raising my voice. He hung up on me. I called back, and said, “it’s not good customer service to hang up on customers who are having a problem”, to which he told me that, “maybe I shouldn’t travel”, & hung up again. I called back a 3rd time & the phone rang until it went to voice mail. In all fairness, I went back & looked at the handle on the “emergency exit” & found it did have a lock like on a bathroom door.. Not a dead bolt. There is no staff at the Kendall lodge, so if security is important to you don't get room 5.
