"First the positives: Our room was attractive, spacious and comfortable. And the breakfast, which was billed as "continental" was more plentiful than that and good-tasting (eggs, sausage, etc.). The staff was friendly. It was nice to have a big window that opened and had a screen for fresh air. Appreciated free and ample parking, good exterior lighting and a nice lobby/breakfast area.
Now the negatives: In our room, the lock at the top (the one that swings over, not deadbolt) was broken and the state law-required notification about fire escape awareness was missing. The exterior, especially around the front entry needs maintenance and the inside of the elevator's panels (with a beach scene) were coming a way a bit (not a big deal). But what was a big deal is that the hot water wasn't working. We couldn't take a shower in the morning and were told there's an issue and that you can get hot water at night but not in the morning. My husband tried to get hot water at night, at the sink and couldn't get it. I don't know how long the issue had been going on but, even for a day, they really should have notified guests with a sign or something slipped under the door. I'm sure most people are just passing through and are on their way early but, not having hot water is an issue. If it wasn't for that, all the rest could easily be forgiven because of the positives. I asked if a little bit could be taken off our room charge for not being able to shower but haven't heard anything yet."
