Awesome property. They connected us with a guide who took us on a hike up the volcano and to the lava tubes. The food was just ok and the bungalow was great but the water pressure was really low. Overall it was a great visit. I would recommend it.

As others said, the rooms can get hot as they are still heated by the lava under it... but this is the nicest place in town and the most relaxed stay you'll have anywhere... and they will arrange anything you need. Guide, transport, mountain bikes, breakfast crazy early in the morning... make sure you book a guide to go up the volcano, going alone is crazy as you'll end up going the wrong way and be a danger to yourself and others.

All around 5 stars. Marisa and Mustafa have done a amazing job with this property. Most amazing mountain and volcano views in the day and the brightest night sky I have ever seen. This is my 3rd time here and I indulge on any and all food while here. I have to say this was my favorite meal yet. We had the option of chicken or spaghetti for dinner. We both got chicken. 5 out of 5. Staff was extremely accommodating and tried there best to make us have that relaxed resort feel. Thank you Marisa and Mustafa for making this piece of Cha like a slice of heaven.

Ótima opção para subida ao Vulcão

Fomos muito bem recebidos na Casa Marisa. Ficámos apenas por uma noite, mas ajudaram-nos a planear tudo o que precisámos para subirmos ao Pico do Fogo, desde táxis até ao guia que nos acompanhou. Chegámos de noite, mas tinham jantar disponível à nossa espera. Achámos os preços justos e as pessoas prestáveis.

Fun place to stay and hike.

This was a fun hotel to stay in. Staff is very friendly. Check-in was a breeze, we walked in, told them our name and they walked us to our room (didn't even have to show ID). Be sure to bring cash. We spent about 12000 CVE (~$120) for 2 dinners and 1 lunch for 3 of us. There are no ATMs and they don't take credit cards. I didn't bring enough to cover our expenses, so they gave me an envelope and we had the Hiace driver stop at an ATM near the airport and put the money in the envelope and he would take it back. If you are up for it, hire a guide to hike the volcano (6600 CVE). Be sure to bring a sweater, it's almost a mile high and gets cool at night. There is a little town a short walking distance away that sells souvenirs, has a little grocery store and there is a restaurant or 2. It was a fun stay and we would recommend it.

Hier kom je thuis in een warm uniek kader, waar het hotel staat aan de voet van de pico di Fogo op lavagesteente Absolute aanrader is gids vragen aan de uitbaters om de vulkaan te beklimmen tot aan de top. Onvoorspelbaar mooie harde natuur Lekker eenvoudig eten, maar heel smakelijk. Mustafa en Marisa zijn de uitbaters met een heel hoge aangename omgangsfactor and no stress and relax en climb hard. One of the best expirienced in travelling

Hotel business . Le serveur est super mais les gerants, en particulier monsieur, peu accueillants, le sol très chaud fait monter la temperature des chambres et a cause de cela on est obligé de laisser la porte et la fenêtre h24 ouvertes, pas top pour l intimité. Il existe d autres hébergements qui ne sont pas directement sur la coulée de 2014 et plus chaleureux niveau accueil. Néanmoins le patio est charmant et les repas très bons.

Nous avons été pris en charge à l’aéroport par le chauffeur de Cassa Marissa Au départ on a l’impression que le prix du transport est cher mais une fois qu’on fait le trajet on se rencontre que c’est très raisonnable.. Le lendemain après le petit déjeuner nous sommes monter au petit picot Très très belle randonnée. Ensuite nous avons organisé avec l’hôtel un retour sur Sao Filipe en faisant le tour de l’ile tout à fait merveilleux
