"The hotel is beautiful, the staff was very accommodating but for the "best" hotel in Isabella and at those prices, the shower literally shuts off every 7 seconds and you have to push the button again. Stairs everywhere, no elevator, get your own water to brush teeth with. All of this should be disclosed. I'll admit that sounds bougie of me but when you pay for the best, you should be able to expect it."

"We had a lovely night stay here. You’re on an island so some ants and bugs can be expected. This isn’t The Four Seasons so if you were looking for that you would be disappointed. What you will find staff willing to go above and beyond like Jonathan, who made our stay lovely. Love that you could just walk to the beach right behind the property. The peace and tranquillity you will find here is unmatched. I think this is the best place to stay on the island. We will definitely be returning. "

"Lovely place right on the beach. Great location, walking distance form lots of restaurants and shops. Not that far from pier, like 20 min walk. Staff super nice and helpful. Proactively reached out to us to make sure we had breakfast either in their terrace or giving us a to-go bag. I’d definitely will stay here again. "

"This hostal exceed all our expectation! Everything was even better than perfect! Owner and all his family were ready to help us in everything - advices, boyling water, cofee, water, luggage storage after check-out. They even share some food and fruits with us! "I enjoyed my stay here. Nothing fancy but the rooms are clean, the bed was comfy, and the shower was hot. They serve a tasty continental breakfast and all the staff were very friendly. "

"A basic bugdget accommodation. I had a large room, very basic but as expected. 3 beds, table and open wardrobe. Breakfast was good, although the upper floor area could really benefit from a bit of a spruce up, its a shame they don't make more use of the roof top area. It's currently not a pleasant place for eating!!!! But could be a nice place to chill with a bit of effort. Water (hot and cold) available 24/7 in lobby area. Sodas and beer also available. Only met the manager (Byron, i think)...

HOTEL SIERRA NEGRA

10/10 Excellent

"My husband and I stayed at Hotel Sierra Negra on Isabela Island for 3 nights. We had a beautiful view of the ocean and could hear the waves from the room. It is a 20 minute walk from the ferry terminal and close to restaurants, tour companies and shopping. We LOVED being directly on the beach and having an ocean view that included breakfast. It was well worth the price. There was always someone on-site to help and answer questions. The shower water pressure room 8 was a bit low but the room was clean and bed comfy. The breakfast was great with coffee, juice, fruit, eggs and toast. We would stay there again. "

"A great place to stay with lovely and helpful staff. During the time of the tsunami alert, the staff made time to ensure we were kept safe and provided ample fruits and drink at their ranch. It was the personal touch the hotel provided such as a complementary night as no ferries were running from Isabela and taxi service to reassure us that no ferries were running. I had booked the sea view room with lovely views of the beach and various birds perching around. In addition, marine iguanas aplenty. Great place to stay in Isabela. Highly recommended! Let’s hope you don’t face a tsunami alert! "
