This was our first time staying in Santa Barbara, and Best Western Plus Pepper Tree Inn stood out the most to us for its great location, reasonable price, and dog-friendly policy. It was easy to find, with plenty of on-site parking, and close to shops (Target) and restaurants within walkable distance.
The hotel had a nice grassy area for the dogs and was also pretty quiet. We barely heard any noise from neighboring rooms, which made for a relaxing stay. We also liked that our room came with a patio area - it was nice to get some fresh air in the early morning and to let our dogs out to sunbathe while we got ready.
Overall, the hotel was clean and well-kept, though the floors in our room were a bit on the dirty side upon check-in, we ended up going out to buy some slippers to keep our feet clean. We also wished there was a microwave in the room for added convenience - they had one located in the lobby though.
Despite a couple of minor issues, the cleanliness, overall comfort/feel of the room (loved the bathroom mirror!), and how dog-friendly it was, would definitely bring us back again.
