"Staying here was an awesome experience, if even for a day. We arrived late in the evening and the owner Mario was so very accommodating and informative. We stayed in the side house, an interesting property with its centuries-old design. We could feel the history in every room. It was very comfortable, very roomy and the amenities made us feel right at home. "An interesting hotel with 70s-80s decore. A feeling of the past however with a view to the future with serious commitment to green credentials. A slow food restaurant extends the good feeling of solar power, and recycled papers in the bathrooms and dining rooms. The shower was a little small and flimsy but the water was good and hot and the heating was hydronic . Staff were excellent. Only a short walk from a beautiful town and the station. If you dont speak italian the majority of staff spoke some English but take your translator with you. A beautiful mountain atmosphere gives a good break from the bustling cit of florence. "
