"The only factor in favour for the hotel is the history and the period property. It needs sprucing up the exterior and somewhat the interior. Room can get hot despite not south face. Breakfast was too slow and so we left without having the main item , 40 minutes after entering.They wrote that breakfast is leisurely but it could be putting a spin on the low staffing.Reception personnel are not quite welcoming or service like.."

"Everything was very clean. The kitchen was spotless, not only that, there was a supply of tea, coffee, sugar and Creamer. In the fridge there were 2 designated shelfs for each room. The staff was very helpful, I was so greatfull for them to lift my suitcase. I wish it would have been more handicap friendly. The step going in was tall and no place to hold onto. "Clean room, good value, very friendly and accommodating staff. Our room was above the pub on a Friday and Saturday night so it was noisy until close but earplugs did the job."
