The AC in the room was a life saver. The only possible thing that could use improvement is the water pressure in the shower. However its a very none issue.

I enjoyed the feeling of an apartment and when the day ended a cool place to cook a little supper and sleep comfortably. I’d book again for sure
Located above a hardware store, owners were great. An annual girls trip (4 of us) we each had our own room which included a kitchen/living area, bedroom & bathroom. We rented a golf cart from them for the duration of 10 days (which you need if you are there for any length of time.) My kitchen (where we did the cooking of fresh local fish ended up with pot, pans and dishes from the other units (sorry I forgot to tell you when we checked out). I had ample hot water in the kitchen but took cold showers as there was no hot water in my bathroom, I did not mention it to the owner as I live next to Lake Superior in Superior WI and have friends that jump in all year long because it is "healthy & good for you"! Trust me when I say Lake Superior is much colder than what I experienced and I thought I should try to come back from a 10 day trip with all the food and alcohol consumed healthier, lol !

The best part about the hotel was the rooftop pool and rooftop seating area with great views of San Pedro and the Caribbean. On this trip we wanted to stay closer to San Pedro town so we could walk to the stores, etc when we didn’t feel like driving the golf cart. Due to construction there was no place to park the golf cart but street parking and it worked out but on night one someone did lift up the backseat of the golf cart presumably to see if we left anything behind but not sure.
Laguna doesn’t have an elevator so we had to go up three flights of stairs to get to our room. Not a huge deal but not everyone can or will like that.
We knew staying in the middle of town on Pescador would be noisy and it was. Not the hotel’s fault but there is a yappy small dog that lives very near the hotel and we could hear it barking almost all night, every night. Also note that there is a ton of construction going on in Ambergris Caye right now and the trucks and heavy equipment started going by very early am, sometimes as early as 3am. Super loud and the road vibrates when they go by Laguna.
There was a full kitchen in our room which is a priority for us so we can eat breakfast before heading out. There is a nice tv in the living room area but it would be nice if the owners also put one in the bedroom as that space had the A/C so it was more comfortable.
Laguna is a good place to stay if you want to stay in town and don’t mind the noise as it’ll definitely be noisy.
Rom was big, comfortable, and clean. Kitchen was nice. We didn't realize until day 4 of 6 that the water heater was unplugged. We just assumed there was no hot water. Roof area was nice, although pool was more of a quick, chilly dip. Would stay again
When we got there the owner had no idea we were staying there at all. Room was dirty, AC didn’t work at all. It ended up being colder outside than inside… the pool was disgusting… it was green, slimy, tiny, looked like it hadn’t been cleaned at all. Looks are deceiving, the pool is about 6ft x 6ft. Beware of constant all night barking, hammering, drilling. I’m a trade person and even I couldn’t take all the noise and heat. 10/10 wouldn’t stay here again as we had to quickly find another hotel to move to.
I normally don’t make a big deal about things and can be very accommodating, but this place was very disappointing.
They shut the water off two different nights to fix a pump, fair, it’s a low budget hotel, things break and happen, it was not an unbearable circumstance (except they did not give warning they would be doing it the second time)
But the third night, a plumbing fixture broke in our room and flooded the entire suite in four inches of water, they relocated us to another room and did some laundry for us, which was nice. We had about $100 of things that were damaged in the flood and asked for $50 or a night off to compensate us. No response, and then told we should have arranged that prior to leaving. We were more than nice about everything that happened, and when we asked for the smallest compensation for literal damage done to our electronics, the hotel did not give a ounce of care.
It was personally disappointing because we liked the owner, and the rooms were decent, a good budget option in the area. But if you stay here and something goes wrong, don’t expect any financial assistance if things are damaged or goes wrong.

We were harassed during our stay at this property by Ali’s “brother”. He yelled at my partner that no guests were allowed, though we booked the room for the two of us. I spoke with Ali on the matter when he knocked on our door at 11:05am about checking out, a day early at that. I informed him we were booked another day and complained to him about his brother. His response was “I’m sorry, He doesn’t know the rules”. When we complained about the construction work outside our window he said, “I’ve been in Miami the last few days, I told them not to work early”. We had been there 5 days at this point and EVERY morning construction noise rang out starting in the 6 or 7am hours. Now the unidentified brother who “didn’t know the rules” checked me in and gave me the key so why is he in charge if he “Doesn’t know the rules”. The gate “securing” the property was often open and to unlock it one simply had to reach their hand in the gate and unlock the deadbolt. Felt unsafe, noisy, and the portion that looks like a stove is simply where the gas for the stove is held. Lackluster cutlery and dishes. The ONLY redeeming qualities are the view from the roof and the lovely attendant Miriam who did her best everyday and always had a smile/kind words to share.

Be reassure of the rental.
I paid for two rooms, one room with 2 queen bed and the other with one queen bed. Upon arrival it was very difficult to get in contact with some one for the rental property. Till finally did. The owner was out of town but said wait till his brother come and help us out. The brother arrive and said he does not have any reservation but he do have rooms just i had to paid 125 belice money. Which i had show him the reservation confirmation and what was paid for. He said they only have 2 bed never 3 beds. He said i my friends and i wanted to stay we had to paid since he could find any reservation done inder my name. At that point i was very upset and told mu friend find another place to stay, im not paying clearing i have proof of the confirmation and spoke with the owner. Then the brother spoke again with a lady on the phone oh jessica i see the reservation but there's a mistake we do not have 3 beds. So you have to get the 2 queens beds.y friends and i were tired at that point. We took the room. Since we was just staying till the morning. The very next morning we outside to rooftop to see the pool and the view. Going downstairs i notice the room next door. It was the room i had paid for. I show my friend the person had lie. There was the same exact room shown online on hotels.com the 2 beds on one room and the other alone. I was not happy at all. Not only i stay in a room that was less in paid but yet i was paying full price of the 3 beds. Not right at all.
Dejligt sted i San Pedro, med rummelige værelser med rig mulighed for at lave mad osv. Også sødt personale og hjælpsomme. Det eneste var der lugtede lidt på værelset, som om der godt kunne bruges en god omgang udluftning.

The property is conveniently located distance from many shops, the beach and airport.
The hotel is clean and Rosario, the housekeeper is awesome.
The view from the top floor is breathtaking
Unfortunately some properties and yards behind the hotel were unkept, full of trash and did not create a nice relaxing view from the bedroom window

Great manager and staff. easy to find on Ambergris Caye. clean inside. AC in bedroom.
Run down surrounding buildings. No AC in the living room. Odd gas stove with propane tank below for cooking. May be part of the local culture.
This property is disgusting they told me I would have an ocean view and instead my window opens into a garbage dump trash everywhere in the back it is a warehouse store on the bottom the bed was hard and the Wi-Fi did not work good at all right on a busy street no parking available I do not recommend this hotel at all it is disgusting and no guests are allowed in your room They refused to give me my money back because I only stayed one night and left I was scheduled for all week
Great value! No frills but clean and the nicest, most helpful host I’ve ever met. Ali was very knowledgeable about local tips and helped us with snorkeling, fishing and renting a golf cart. The hotel felt safe with a locked gate from 7 pm-7 am. And was a great location to downtown. Slept well, enjoyed the rooftop for sunsets and sunrises. We will be back!
