Had a very enjoyable stay - it’s located in a beautiful area and I would highly recommend the visit to the monkey’s and the boat trip which were both great. There is also a really good swimming pool and it was great that I could bring my dog too.

Zeer verouderde accomodaties op een afgelegen plek. Hoge prijs voor wat je krijgt. Terrein is groot en na 17 uur uitgestorven. Het restaurant is om 17 uur dicht en het personeel gaat naar huis. Er waren naast slechts in 1 ander huisje gasten. Veel muggen vanaf zonsondergang, dus je kunt niet meer buiten zitten. Emerita deed haar best om het ons naar de zin te maken. Monkey tour was leuk. Boottocht viel tegen en erg duur.

The room was very basic but had all we needed. Overall the experience was excellent due to the ambiance of being in the forest, experiencing the bay, and seeing the spider monkeys. The food was pretty good and staff were nice. I can see where this type of stay might not be for everyone but we are very glad we worked Puerto Barilla into our itinerary.

The place is nice but the rooms are wear out, food is bad and extremely expensive for the quality of meals. Not many options on activities The prices are not worth it for the property overall.

Cabin very clean and confortable. There was a bbq accessible to us, but unfortunately no plates and ustensils were avalaible. No fridge as well. Nice location, peaceful.

The thing that stands out for me was the travel into the property on dirt roads until you get to an airplane hanger, round a curve and come upon the gate to the property. A beautiful property, well maintained and welcoming. My son and I had arrived well ahead of our check in time and our reservation was not ready. We went to the restaurant and took in the view of the estuary for an hour or so. We were able to enjoy refreshments without having to provide our room number and the internet connection was available and worked well. We went to our room, what they book as a treehouse. A cute little structure with a bathroom with shower on the ground floor, up an exterior circular staircase to a nicely appointed room with another bathroom. There were a couple of small issues that the management took care of as soon as they were advised. The meals are good and the ambience was relaxing. A beautiful pool to lounge around in, but it gets plenty hot in the afternoon and shade is not very prevalent The tour of the monkey refuge beside the property is worth the time. Our guide knew where to look and we were well entertained by wild spider monkeys. There is a barbecue that comes with the treehouse. If you are interested in a relaxing time make sure you take a cooler with something to cook for your evening meals. Enjoy breakfast and lunch at the restaurant. I look forward to a chance to visit again as there is a tour of the estuary by boat to enjoy.

Beyond away from it all

Way out in the outskirts past a sugarcane field, tranquil and nothing but bliss,completely isolated from it all, they also have their own gas station

Everything was absolutely beautiful! :-) I would highly recommend a small refrigerator and small microwave in the small cabins; it does not make send to have a BBQ without placement of food... another recommendation the pool temperature was extremely hot, since the water was never circulation meaning the pump should be ON during the day! :-) beautiful place and amazing staff...

Hotel bonito y en un lugar de naturaleza espectacu

El lugar es muy agradable y muy buen cuidado (mantenimiento de las instalaciones es muy bueno). Existe tienda con abarrotes básicos. Si va un grupo grande la cama extra (sofa-cama) no es muy cómodo.
