A very special week for myself and my partner, and the Intercontinental Mark Hopkins was a good choice for us, My annual pilgrimage to the Bay Area to escape the heat of New Orleans. We wanted to treat ourselves. It compares favorably to some of the other "Grand Dame" hotels of that era that we've stayed in over the past few years here and in other cities.

Gorgeous elegant old time hotel exquisitely maintained. Couldn’t be better! Get a junior suite if you can afford it. Very comfortable.

Our first stay was a delight! Service was excellent! Rooms have spacious feel. Tall ceilings are very nice. We had a corner king with bridge views. Top of the mark is iconic. Especially fine is the veterans free shot of whiskey!

Great historical hotel, it’s a bit outdated but has a certain charm. Front drive employees are excellent! Front desk employees were ok, not a warm greeting when we arrived. Overall a nice stay.
