I could not say enough good things about my stay at Costa Las Ballenas to do this place and its wonderful people justice. So I will simply say, if you are looking to regenerate your soul, eat well, and spend some time with some of the best people you can meet, then you need to plan a trip to Costa Las Ballenas.

Recommended for couples and dogs

It was an amazing experience. Went there with my wife and our dog and the dog had plenty of green area to run and play. Rooms, pool and everything else was in good condition. Breafast service was a little slow but the food was good. Recommended stay with the beach out in front and a good size pool on site.

One of the best beach spot. Quiet, beach front, not too many people. Really enjoyed our time there. The staff was also extremely friendly. Will definitely stay there again if we ever go back to Las Terranas

BEWARE: They Will Rip You Off

Stayed here for 2 nights with my wife. The location is great! But the rooms are hot, uncomfortable and have lots of leaks when it rains (our bed got wet) and mosquitos (there are mosquito nets around the bed) The bed was rock hard and the a/c didn't work well (no other fan). The food at the restaurant was ok but way overpriced, the included breakfast was excellent. I paid my room through Hotels.com but at check in they required a 2000 peso (about $40 US) deposit on my card. when I checked out, they wouldn't let me use my 2000 peso deposit to pay for my incidentals but forced me to make a new charge to my card. ELENA (the manager) told me the 2000 pesos would be immediately refunded. It's been over 3 weeks now and there has been no refund and ELENA wont respond to any calls or messages. I feel like they scammed me out of the money. There are much nicer places along Playa Bonita, I would never go back to this place

Excelente! Nos encanto la tranquilidad que hay, la playa estuvo riquísima. El único pero fue el encargado del area de Pirates Surf, fue un poco grosero cuando utilizamos las barras para hacer ejercicio

Enjoyed the quite and privacy. Rooms were clean and very roomy. It was a little hard to fine with GPS. GPS kept sending us to location of beach and not to the entrance of property. Had to stop and get directions. Sign was small and none along the way showing directions.

Luxurious and Relaxing

It was beautiful. The grounds and rooms feel like paradise. The staff is friendly. There is Wi-Fi access in rooms and central locations. The restaurant on site is Italian. The food is very high quality and quite reasonable. Other resort restaurants are within walking distance. The beach right in front of the resort is beautiful, but a bit steep and big waves... good for boogie boarding and a little surfing. 10 minutes walk down the beach is a much quieter spot... good for swimming and lounging.
