Property manager has quickly responded to my comment upon check in regarding A/C operation, although initially it was slow acting but eventually the room was cooled to a comfortable level. She did ask me the next day if everything was operating well.

Absolutely beautiful hotel with great staff, special mention to Corinne, Stefan & Eftahlia, they were super friendly helpful efficient just outstanding, due to them, I extended stay to 13 nights. The location of hotel just perfect with views of mountains & close to bus to take you into heart of Salzburg, also the cook was amazing too. Highly recommend, will definitely be back. Thanks everyone for making my 55th birthday so special & relaxing! ❤️❤️

Nice, quiet place on the outskirts of Salzburg!
Located on the outskirts of Salzburg, this hotel is actually, ideally located! It only took us about 30 minutes to drive to Berchtesgaden, Germany and another 10 to drive up to the Kehlsteinhaus starting point, 6 minutes to drive to Schloss Hellbrunn, and 40 minutes to walk (the scenic route) into town (to Festung Hohensalzburg). There is a bus stop, about 2 blocks away, that will take you directly into Salzburg, as well. We hit 6 countries in 3 weeks and this inn was the closest, by far, to what we are used to in America. The room was extremely spacious, as was the bathroom. Inside the hotel is a small bar and restaurant which serve up delicious meals and drinks. Everyone here was very friendly and were able to give excellent advice on where to go and what to do. We had a car, and there was free parking on the street in front of the hotel; we never had a problem getting a spot. I would definitely stay here again!

The staff was warm and welcoming. The room was huge with large well equipped bathroom, separate sitting area and bed. Super clean. The hotel restaurant offered both indoor and outdoor dining and the food was excellent. Close to Salzburg center without the crowds. All in a more traditional setting than your ubiquitous chains. Highly recommend.

Liked having the free parking on the property which was convenient with a rental car. Would of liked to have air conditioning as the room was quite warm . Sleeping with the windows open was noisy due to car traffic.

If we don't have a car, it's quite difficult to find the hotel. However, the breakfast is very good and staff will cook the fresh egg accordingly to your own choice.

DECENT ROOM-BROKEN AIR CONDITIONING IN SUMMER.LOUD
This place is slightly far from the city center if you are using a public transport. The room was good but the Air Conditioning was broken. We stayed here during Summer and it was a warm day and NO-AC made it a discomforting stay. There is bar downstairs where folks sit and booze and yet times it becomes LOUD with late night hours. There is huge cemetery facing this hotel. The nearby areas shutdown quite early in evening even in summer so the nearby area becomes slight scarce of human presence around late evenings.

Staying here...GOOD CHOICE
Thiz hotel is in quiet area of Salzburg and features a popular restruant and bar as well as free wifi. Breakfast included in price, staff really friendly and helpful...major feature is free car parking.The food is great..rooms clean and wel appointed overall I have no hesitation in saying many hotels in many parts of the world would charge 2 or 3 times the price for facilities that do NOT match up. I will be visiting Salzburg again and without doubt I will be staying there again.

Decent hotel for the price and location
We thought this hotel was pretty decent when you take into consideration the price and location. A lot of Salzburg hotels are a crazy price and this was a very decent standard for just over a hundred pounds a night inc breakfast. The room was spacious enough and very clean. The bed (although it states a queen double on the website) was two singles connected together, however we've found this to be the norm in this part of Europe. The room was very warm but there was a portable air con unit which we definitely needed. Not sure if all the rooms have this so would be worth asking when booking. We also discovered the following day that the walls were very thin as could hear people talking in the next room very clearly, so again, the air con unit was useful to drown this out overnight. The breakfast area is small but this wasn't an issue as there weren't many guests present. The choice, in our opinion was ample. Not sure what other reviews expect from a continental buffet? There was plenty of fresh bread, cereals, cheeses, meats and other things which were totally sufficient to fill you up. My husband had the hot option of scrambled eggs which were also fine. The location is good. There is a bus stop about 3 min walk from the hotel with a choice of buses that take you right into Salzburg. The hotel can sell you a 24hr pass which was 4Euros, bargain. Overall I would say this hotel does what it says on the tin. Its not luxurious but was clean, comfy and in a very location for us.

We stayed for one night on our road trip from London to Croatia. The hotel was easy to find and has free parking outside. It's a nice an quite location right next to a beautiful historic cemetery, which I recommend visiting in the morning. You also get a stunning mountain view from the windows. The check in was quick and straight forward. The rooms are a bit dated, but comfortable and spacious. The built in aircon was broken so there was a massive mobile air con unit in the room which worked well. It, however, was not on when we arrived, and there was a bit of an unpleasant stale smell in the room. We decided to have breakfast before heading out and it was definitely the right decision - it was delicious! the breakfast area is deceivingly small, but that's only because the many dishes on offer as presented in small dishes, which get topped up constantly. The choice of food is very good, the only hot cooked food are eggs cooked to your reference. There is also bubbly and juice if you fancy a mimosa in the morning :) The hotel is dog friendly.

Shower was ridiculous (overhead shower leaked and cubicle was too small) Lighting in bathroom was poor Cleaning staff interrupted our lie-in even with the 'do not disturb' light on Staff called twice and woke us up to ask if we were having breakfast (we didn't book one) Staff demanded we pay to check out after 11am when the welcome book clearly stated that we can check out after 12pm without paying. Room was dark and carpet was stained in patches everywhere!

Rooms were clean and comfortable We were 3 couples and booked similar rooms at equal room rates. One room was large, the second decent but the third was rather small, especially when compared with other two. A hot water kettle would have made our comfort even better. The hotel was clean but much farther away from the Old Town than advertised. About 2.7 km. Long walk since infrequent buses pass. The food is excellent however. The best roasted liver, apples, and onions ever. The red deer ragout was also excellent.

This is a pretty basic hotel (rooms) but a good value -- clean and the staff was excellent during my stay. Very nice breakfast, and they'll even make eggs to order. Staff was very good: The Salzburg marathon was going on, practically shutting down the city, as I left. A taxi headed my way could not get to the hotel -- so a staff person jumped in and took me in his personal car through all of the backroads that helped me make it on time and make my flight. That was super amazing and I thank them for this incredible effort! Food in the restaurant is decent -- but this is not a place for foodies ( very traditional food). Howver, I did have the most amazing dessert--the berry panna cotta has me thinking that I must become a panna cotta expert -- so delicious.

Used the hotel while on business so its location was important. Access was easy and the room rate was decent. My only quibble was that I had obviously git a room above the kitchen so it was very warm. However given that it is winter that was also pretty welcome at times.

Staff is overwhelmed
We stayed for three days and NEVER had our room cleaned. We cleaned up ourselves and had to call for clean towels. Christmas Day they called us to now inform us no one was there to clean the room (again) and asked if we wanted towels. You could NEVER eat at the hotel restaurant because they put reserved signs on every table yet each time we passed by the restaurant was empty. Odd. Apparently understaffed as the restaurant staff ( we saw them) was the same person as check in and same one that called about towels. Cute hotel just needs a better staff

Away from the Tourists
We loved that fact that the hotel was out of the city & nice& quiet. The view from our room of the mountains was beautiful. Only drawback, the weather was hot, the room was hot & the portable air-con was noisy & not too effective..BUT we did have it to use & were appreciative of it. In cooler weather it would be perfect. Really enjoyed our stay & would recommend the hotel to our friends.
